The Cavs open their home schedule against the Bobcats looking to get their first win of 2008/09.  There is obviously no love-loss between LeBron James and Larry Brown and James loves to shove in Brown's face eery chance he gets.  The Bobcats were winless in the pre-season, and it would be nice for the Cavs to put the 'Cats out of their misery early before a tough two-game roade trip to New Orleans and Dallas this weekend.

Talk about the game here in the comments! They Auto-Refresh, bringing an awesome game night experience!

8 pts, 4 rebs, 3 asts for LBJ in the first quarter. Looking good for a triple-double early on.

25-16 Cavs after one quarter.

They're looking good so far

It was nice to see Hickson in there even if he hasn’t done anything yet.

He's having a little trouble

but at least he looks aggressive. He’ll get the hang of it

by KobeStoppa on Oct 30, 2008 6:44 PM CDT up reply actions

That was nice. Nice to see somebody besides LeBron going aggressively at the hoop.

by Fundamentals on Oct 30, 2008 6:46 PM CDT up reply actions

Yeah, they need it bad

They’ll be much more effective if they can keep getting that from him. They desperately need some young legs inside.

Morrison lost the hair but kept the stache. I think if I was keeping anything, I’d have flipped that around…

by Fundamentals on Oct 30, 2008 6:44 PM CDT reply actions

Yeah, he's definitely an ugly dude

I think the hair at least detracted from his face

by KobeStoppa on Oct 30, 2008 6:45 PM CDT reply actions

Williams is looking very good

They finally have someone to score while LeBron is on the bench. It’s nice to see the move paying off.

I’m much more excited with him pushing the ball than I am his scoring. The fact that the team is actually running is very encouraging to me. I love the lineup (for short bursts) with LeBron at the 4, Sasha at the 3, Delonte and Mo in the backcourt and Andy at the 5. There aren’t many more athletic lineups in the NBA.

by Fundamentals on Oct 30, 2008 6:54 PM CDT up reply actions

Yeah I wrote something about that on here the other day

That’s a great lineup. The only thing I worry about is rebounding. But hopefully there’s enough quickness to at lest track down the long rebounds.

Great break

A couple fumbles, but very effective

I like to see Boobie playing D, but that jump was a little on the silly side.

Austin Carr is a Cavs legend. Fred McLeod was the PIstons announcer for their TV coverage, Dan Gilbert wanted him so bought him and brought him to Cleveland. To do so, he fired one of the more popular Cavs announcers in Michael Reghi.

Thanks

Good to know a little about the guys

by KobeStoppa on Oct 30, 2008 7:28 PM CDT up reply actions

I hope M Brown can limit LeBron’s minutes in the 2nd half.

by JulioBernazard on Oct 30, 2008 7:15 PM CDT reply actions

They don't play again till saturday

But I’m sure he will if they’re up big.

I say give Hickson some more time and keep going with the 3 guard lineup. Might as well try it out.

by KobeStoppa on Oct 30, 2008 7:20 PM CDT up reply actions

He only played 17 minutes in the first half, which by my math would put him on pace for 34. This after playing 36 in the first game. I’m not that worried about LeBron’s minutes at that pace.

by Fundamentals on Oct 30, 2008 7:23 PM CDT up reply actions

Hahaha

Barkley on TNT pregame “The Bobcats are playing their asses off if they’re only down 17.”

Apparently he’s not impressed with the Cats

Halftime Stats:
LeBron- 12 pts, 6 rebs, 6 asts
Gibson- 20 pts, 4 rebs, 1 ast
Delonte- 6 pts, 6 rebs, 1 ast
Mo- 8 pts, 2 rebs, 4 asts
Big Ben- 0 pts, 6 rebs, 4 blocks

Outside of Gibson, bench players have taken 5 total shots (1-5), with Hickson’s dunk being the only make.

6 mins, 2 TOs, 3 fouls. Perhaps he needs even less time… Lead is down to 7 points.

by Fundamentals on Oct 30, 2008 7:45 PM CDT up reply actions

Wake up, Cavs!

What does M Brown even DO at halftime?

by JulioBernazard on Oct 30, 2008 7:47 PM CDT reply actions

Heavy drugs

that’s my best guess. Although they can’t be too heavy, he occasionally knows what he’s doing in the fourth. Or maybe that’s just when Lebron starts ignoring him.

Mike Brown seems to have consistently had trouble in the 3rd quarter throughout his coaching career. I’m not sure what the issue is.

by Fundamentals on Oct 30, 2008 7:51 PM CDT up reply actions

I like Austin Carr’s homespun wisdom

by JulioBernazard on Oct 30, 2008 8:05 PM CDT reply actions

22-9-9 for LBJ. Not bad in 30 minutes.

by Fundamentals on Oct 30, 2008 8:30 PM CDT reply actions

With the game apparently in hand, this is where I check out for 30 Rock.

by Fundamentals on Oct 30, 2008 8:31 PM CDT reply actions

Now I need to wait and see where the cavs really reside….Im guessing it’s somewhere between the sloppiness from the first game and the crispness of this one.

"Mixed emotions. Rather see him hit PEDroia [with that pitch]. I don’t care if he is in the dugout"
