Talk about playoff basketball in November.  It doesn't get much better than this.  Division rivals, a combined record of 16-5 and of course all the playoff history that past few years.  All of that equals out to be a great regular season basketball game.  The Cavaliers have won 8 straight and seem to be getting stronger as the streak continues but are assuredly going to get their biggest test so far against the Pistons.  Detroit is 3-3 since the Allen Iverson trade, a move made to give the Pistons more scoring.

Talk about the game here in the comments! They Auto-Refresh, bringing an awesome game night experience!

One of those judgment day games.

Should be good

I’m not expecting a win tonight. Its a tough situation, back-to-back, DET rested, in DET, etc. That being said, if they get a win… watch out. The team could go on a serious run.

I really think Sasha could play a big role tonight. Its a real tough match-up for Delonte on Rip, let alone Williams on Iverson. I think Sasha’s defense gets him some early time. If he’s having one of his good nights, he becomes a HUGE factor. Hopefully we get good Sasha and can steal a W.

by Fundamentals on Nov 19, 2008 6:38 PM CST reply actions

No Wally tonight, as he is away from the team dealing with a family matter. Even more cause for Sasha to step it up. I also assume this means that Jawad Williams is active for the first time tonight.

How about Z diving on the floor for the ball — I love it!!

The best thing probably is to hit [Grady] 2nd -- Jay

Z hits a 3!!!!

Another bad 3rd quarter thus far…

by Fundamentals on Nov 19, 2008 8:14 PM CST reply actions

This is painful to watch…West and Williams with 4 fouls a piece…

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:17 PM CST reply actions

When you look at the box without the score…Cavs look like they are winning this in a landslide, but somehow we allow them to hang around

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:19 PM CST reply actions

Rip is a matchup problem

by dawginphilly on Nov 19, 2008 8:19 PM CST reply actions

i love the fact hickson is seeing more minutes….he’s got tremendous athletic ability, and he could provide much needed frontcourt depth later in the season.

by dawginphilly on Nov 19, 2008 8:21 PM CST reply actions

2nd and 3rd chances….wow

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:21 PM CST reply actions

Big board by Hickson, but he’s got to get that ball out of there and avoid that turnover.

The Detroit PA announcer is twice as annoying as I remember him from the past…

by Fundamentals on Nov 19, 2008 8:23 PM CST reply actions

A game like this is going to be physical though. He needs to know, when there are 3 around him to reset the ball at the top. That was a rookie mistake.

by Fundamentals on Nov 19, 2008 8:27 PM CST up reply actions

West got a touch foul called when Iverson won his Oscar for flopping earlier in the quarter though

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:35 PM CST up reply actions

How quick can we get to “Winning Time”…..

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:24 PM CST reply actions

I wanna castrate myself listening to these announcers

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:25 PM CST reply actions

Thank God that’s over

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:26 PM CST reply actions

Hopefully that run is over. I’m not quite sure though.

by Fundamentals on Nov 19, 2008 8:28 PM CST up reply actions

sloppy…the past 4 games, we pulled away in the 3rd…we were also down at the half in those gaems if that means anything…

by dawginphilly on Nov 19, 2008 8:28 PM CST reply actions

I like being up going into the 4th…Lebron is about to be a man

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:29 PM CST reply actions

a normal man may be tired in this situation, lebron is no normal man…in lebron we trust

by dawginphilly on Nov 19, 2008 8:31 PM CST reply actions

yet he’s not in the game

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:32 PM CST up reply actions

Christ…this is playing right into Detroit’s hand, low scoring

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:31 PM CST reply actions

if you had one team taking a shot with the game on the line, i’d take cleveland. MUCH better shooters, this year.

The Cavs need to get their defensive energy back. I’d get Delonte and Ben back on the floor.

by Fundamentals on Nov 19, 2008 8:32 PM CST reply actions

I think the Cavs are building Detroit a new arena with all these bricks

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:33 PM CST reply actions

MO FUCKING WILLIAMS.

That is all.

Why were the Cavs going with a 3 guard set in that situation? West, Gibson and Mo? Makes NO sense. Gotta have some size at the 3 against the Pistons, whether its LBJ or Sasha.

by Fundamentals on Nov 19, 2008 8:35 PM CST reply actions

Sasha is so iffy though, LBJ gets his rest….I like West, Gibson, and Mo…a couple minutes just to get LeBron some rest, they need some sort of offense

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:36 PM CST up reply actions

Is there a ghost covering AI?

REALLLLLY? REALLLLLY?

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:39 PM CST reply actions

I hate Rasheed Wallace and his gap tooth, hole in the top of his head, face

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:40 PM CST reply actions

regroup and start hitting shots out of this timeout…let’s go boys.

by dawginphilly on Nov 19, 2008 8:41 PM CST reply actions

Rasheed looks like Tracy Morgan’s hobo character from SNL….

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:43 PM CST reply actions

are. you. kidding. me

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:44 PM CST reply actions

Poor offense right there. They team is going to LBJ+4 sets instead of running their offense. Its last year’s offense. Mo (or someone else) needs to make sure that they don’t stand around and wait on LeBron to take over.

by Fundamentals on Nov 19, 2008 8:45 PM CST reply actions

It doesn’t help when Detroit could shoot from Mars and make it right now

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:47 PM CST up reply actions

Cavs have 33 points in the second half, ouch

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:46 PM CST reply actions

This one is over…Cleveland is shooting panic three balls

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:48 PM CST reply actions

It’s like NBA Jam when you get a player on fire….only the whole team is like that right now

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:50 PM CST up reply actions

yeah, Cavs just ran out of gas.

"Mixed emotions. Rather see him hit PEDroia [with that pitch]. I don’t care if he is in the dugout"

by Gradysmanldy on Nov 19, 2008 8:49 PM CST reply actions

I wouldn’t say they ran out of gas, they just aren’t driving…they see Detroit hitting everything they throw up and they just started panicking and shooting ill-advised three’s…this is where Mike Brown is a horrible coach, he let’s this happen

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:51 PM CST up reply actions

Dude, they were down 11 with like 4 minutes to go, and Lebron was trying to find his shot. That’s not Mike Brown, even a little.

And they are out of gas on defense…..AI and Stuckey were gashing them in the lane almost effortlessly. You can see, our defense is just a step slow right now.

"Mixed emotions. Rather see him hit PEDroia [with that pitch]. I don’t care if he is in the dugout"

by Gradysmanldy on Nov 19, 2008 8:53 PM CST up reply actions

8/22 from behind the arch…and they’ve shot at least 8 of them this quarter

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:55 PM CST up reply actions

Mike Brown is NOT a horrible coach.

The best thing probably is to hit [Grady] 2nd -- Jay

by Buckeye Brad on Nov 19, 2008 8:55 PM CST up reply actions

Because LeBron makes it appear that way

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:55 PM CST up reply actions

You’re right — the team is all LeBron.

The best thing probably is to hit [Grady] 2nd -- Jay

by Buckeye Brad on Nov 19, 2008 8:56 PM CST up reply actions

Not saying this team is all Lebron, but the last couple years it has been

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:57 PM CST up reply actions

He’s a defensive coach, that is one thing I will concede

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:58 PM CST up reply actions

anticipated this unfortunately…was hoping we could hold on though

by dawginphilly on Nov 19, 2008 8:51 PM CST reply actions

Still two minutes left, they just need a couple stops and to run the offense

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:52 PM CST reply actions

I hate the Pistons…this second half was difficult to watch.

by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:59 PM CST reply actions

mike brown is far from a horrible coach

by dawginphilly on Nov 19, 2008 9:00 PM CST reply actions

Great defensively, but offensively I harbor some frustration
