Talk about playoff basketball in November. It doesn't get much better than this. Division rivals, a combined record of 16-5 and of course all the playoff history that past few years. All of that equals out to be a great regular season basketball game. The Cavaliers have won 8 straight and seem to be getting stronger as the streak continues but are assuredly going to get their biggest test so far against the Pistons. Detroit is 3-3 since the Allen Iverson trade, a move made to give the Pistons more scoring.
Talk about the game here in the comments! They Auto-Refresh, bringing an awesome game night experience!

I’m not expecting a win tonight. Its a tough situation, back-to-back, DET rested, in DET, etc. That being said, if they get a win… watch out. The team could go on a serious run.
I really think Sasha could play a big role tonight. Its a real tough match-up for Delonte on Rip, let alone Williams on Iverson. I think Sasha’s defense gets him some early time. If he’s having one of his good nights, he becomes a HUGE factor. Hopefully we get good Sasha and can steal a W.
Keep me updated…Not near a TV and only have GameCast

Seems like the Cavs are playing great defense….

More domination from the Cavs??? Especially after falling behind 7-0

Big board by Hickson, but he’s got to get that ball out of there and avoid that turnover.
The Detroit PA announcer is twice as annoying as I remember him from the past…
A game like this is going to be physical though. He needs to know, when there are 3 around him to reset the ball at the top. That was a rookie mistake.

West got a touch foul called when Iverson won his Oscar for flopping earlier in the quarter though

Hopefully that run is over. I’m not quite sure though.

if you had one team taking a shot with the game on the line, i’d take cleveland. MUCH better shooters, this year.

MO FUCKING WILLIAMS.
That is all.

Why were the Cavs going with a 3 guard set in that situation? West, Gibson and Mo? Makes NO sense. Gotta have some size at the 3 against the Pistons, whether its LBJ or Sasha.
Sasha is so iffy though, LBJ gets his rest….I like West, Gibson, and Mo…a couple minutes just to get LeBron some rest, they need some sort of offense
by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:36 PM CST up reply actions
Poor offense right there. They team is going to LBJ+4 sets instead of running their offense. Its last year’s offense. Mo (or someone else) needs to make sure that they don’t stand around and wait on LeBron to take over.
It doesn’t help when Detroit could shoot from Mars and make it right now

It’s like NBA Jam when you get a player on fire….only the whole team is like that right now

yeah, Cavs just ran out of gas.

I wouldn’t say they ran out of gas, they just aren’t driving…they see Detroit hitting everything they throw up and they just started panicking and shooting ill-advised three’s…this is where Mike Brown is a horrible coach, he let’s this happen
by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:51 PM CST up reply actions
Dude, they were down 11 with like 4 minutes to go, and Lebron was trying to find his shot. That’s not Mike Brown, even a little.
And they are out of gas on defense…..AI and Stuckey were gashing them in the lane almost effortlessly. You can see, our defense is just a step slow right now.

8/22 from behind the arch…and they’ve shot at least 8 of them this quarter

Mike Brown is NOT a horrible coach.

Because LeBron makes it appear that way

You’re right — the team is all LeBron.

Not saying this team is all Lebron, but the last couple years it has been

He’s a defensive coach, that is one thing I will concede
by Tribe_Hippie on Nov 19, 2008 8:58 PM CST up reply actions
Great defensively, but offensively I harbor some frustration
