Tighten it up, Cavs! Looking sloppy out there.

Scary moment with ’te banging his head HARD on the floor. Cool that the entire team got off the bench to check on him.

CHI within one. I don’t like this at all.

Ok lets start a run to finish this awful team.

Delonte West
Fractured right wrist. OUCH!

Yeah, that’s tough to take. He’s looked really good this season, and this game in particular.
Will we see Snow? (If so, yikes!)
by JulioBernazard on Jan 15, 2009 8:26 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Snow is never going to play again
Might be time to trade Sczerbiack for a good player.

All of a sudden the trade winds have to be blowing near Lake Erie now…

Six to eight weeks
plus rehab.
Cavs will have to get a guard now and get one soon with the schedule they have coming up.

You don’t think Boobie can play the 2?
by JulioBernazard on Jan 15, 2009 8:31 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Not full time
against teams like Boston

No, I don't
neither defensively and sadly this season not offensively. The Cavs were already undersized in their back court. Boobie makes them even smaller.

Wally World starting at #2 for a while?
by JulioBernazard on Jan 15, 2009 8:38 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Too slow
he’s a huge defensive liability as it is. Darius Miles was torching him the other night.
Yes, THAT Darius Miles.

Derrick Rose
can go straight to hell.
by Hardcore Legend on Jan 15, 2009 8:28 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Neither guy was at fault on that play. Just bad luck and bad timing.
by JulioBernazard on Jan 15, 2009 8:31 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
You are probably right
Rose just stood there like an idiot after he missed the layup.
by Hardcore Legend on Jan 15, 2009 8:34 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Nevermind, I saw the replay
Rose didn’t do anything wrong.
by Hardcore Legend on Jan 15, 2009 8:37 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
It isn’t whether or not Boobie can play the 2, it is a question of who comes in the game for Boobie…..
Bench depth down to nil….

I want me some Vinsanity!
by John Bena (aka CavsBlogger) on Jan 15, 2009 8:33 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I'd rather have Micheal Redd
Of course, I’ve been saying that since 2005.
by Hardcore Legend on Jan 15, 2009 8:33 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I’ll pass on both Vince and The Matrix.
by JulioBernazard on Jan 15, 2009 8:34 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Agreed. Mo Williams was exactly the right type of player we should be looking to acquire. Young and talented.

The sad thing is the Cavs had just put in new offensive sets
that had West in the post against smaller NBA guards. He showed tonight that he could score at will in this situation.
Even when he comes back in 6 weeks, whoever they get to replace him will cause the rotations to all be out of whack.
I’m afraid this team is going to continue on the recent trend of being Lebron-dependent offensively.
by Hardcore Legend on Jan 15, 2009 8:35 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I'm watching TNT
has anyone else said anything about his injury other than Craig Sager? What did FSN-Ohio say?
by Hardcore Legend on Jan 15, 2009 8:36 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Yeah
so it may not even be as bad as they made it seem.
by Hardcore Legend on Jan 15, 2009 8:38 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Yeah
but he’s going to wear a soft cast and believes he’ll be able to rejoin the team on the road trip.
by Hardcore Legend on Jan 15, 2009 8:40 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
My idea would be to start Sasha at the 2 until
the know how bad it is for Delonte. Keep all the rotations the same but have Sasha take Delonte’s minutes. Sasha gets no minutes as it is so it’s not like you are overextending the bench by replacing his garbage time.
by Hardcore Legend on Jan 15, 2009 8:41 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I agree…Keep Boobie where he is most effective…
by John Bena (aka CavsBlogger) on Jan 15, 2009 8:52 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
This doesn’t set up well for a back to back tomorrow night…
by John Bena (aka CavsBlogger) on Jan 15, 2009 8:55 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
On the brightside they are at home
on the downside, they are facing one of the best guards in the NBA down an extra starting guard.

LeBron is having an off night tonight.
by JulioBernazard on Jan 15, 2009 9:01 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
He’s going to need to have a big 4th quarter…
by John Bena (aka CavsBlogger) on Jan 15, 2009 9:02 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
He’s going to have to stop forcing very long 2s. Of course, this requires the other four Cavs to move around and stuff.
by JulioBernazard on Jan 15, 2009 9:06 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
14 misses in a row.
Ouch.
Injuries suck, too.
by Gils_Keloids on Jan 16, 2009 2:59 AM CST up reply actions 0 recs
How many travels is Derrick Rose
going to get away with. He’s taking one step and then shuffling his feet as he lands the second step. He is in actuality taking like 4 steps.
by Hardcore Legend on Jan 15, 2009 9:03 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I’ve seen him carry a few times, too.

LBJ needs to take it to the tin.
by JulioBernazard on Jan 15, 2009 9:06 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Has Lebron given up?
Stop pouting and play hard already. Just because your shot isn’t falling and you aren’t getting any calls, don’t just quit on your team.
Can’t let a team with good jump shooters (Rose, Gordon, Heinrich) hang around into the 4th Quarter without fear of getting beat.
by Hardcore Legend on Jan 15, 2009 9:06 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Cavs asleep coming into the 4th quarter….

Is it me, or is the Intestinal Flu that Ben has look to be traveling around the locker room. LeBron looks like hell….
by John Bena (aka CavsBlogger) on Jan 15, 2009 9:39 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Anything’s possible. He looks a step or two slow.
(That being said, Ty Thomas definitely goaltended.)
by JulioBernazard on Jan 15, 2009 9:46 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Good call. Sager said LeBron’s “congested.”

I'd rather have this possession
than that timeout.
by Hardcore Legend on Jan 15, 2009 9:57 PM CST reply actions 0 recs

The game really changed once ‘te was hurt. Let’s hope the news isn’t as bad as expected.
by JulioBernazard on Jan 15, 2009 10:08 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
COuld this be the stat of a Cavalier slide??
by John Bena (aka CavsBlogger) on Jan 15, 2009 10:08 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
They've been sliding for awhile
the offense has slipped from early in the season being about the entire team to being about how long Lebron can dribble the ball before he absolutely has to pass it.
I could have played as well as Lebron did in the 4th and OT. Zero defense, zero FGs, turnovers. I won’t even make the team wear special jerseys to match my shoes.
by Hardcore Legend on Jan 15, 2009 10:16 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
This game, everything that could go wrong did
-Down 2 starters to injury
-Lose another mid-game
-Lebron misses FTs
-Lebron cold from the floor
-Bad officiating
-No defense
-Other team finally back at full strength
-Lucky shots by opposing player
-Bizarre turnovers late in the game
-Loose ball goes to other team in crucial possession late in game
