no more mike brown, PLEASE!

what the hell is mike brown doin at the cavs' bench?! i blame him entirely for the failure of the cavs to make it to the finals last season. he is nothing without LBJ and the team. he should be fired and replaced the soonest. i don't want this season to be fruitless for LBJ, however, much as i wanna see the king get his well-deserved ring, i don't want him to get it with that washed-up, no talent, wannabe clown(but ain't funny) Shaq on board!

no more?

well you know, to be honest i am a fan of Browns because i think hes a straight shooter when it comes to being real with his team and his staff, but basketball IQ? i am not so sure of him possessing a good deal of it…im not making fun of him because he is a coach in the NBA and thats better than what most of us can say of ourselves! but in comparison to what other coaches are doing with less talented teams?…i think Brown should rethink his offesnsive strategies a bit.

brown is experimenting with the lineups to find out what works, and what doesn’t. we dont need to win 70 games this year. we need to figure out right now what the weak points are and do something about it. there are another 7 months left in this season.

Did the OP pay any attention at all to the extensive analysis on this board about why we lost? Probably not..

Offensively, MB knows he’s not good there. That’s why he delegated that to Kuester last year. Defensively, our team D has been very very good for quite a while.

I agree that Mike Brown sucks, but sheesh….

Agreed. When an entry doesn’t have basic structure, it can be difficult (and annoying) to read. Stay in school, kids

Not to many people could have done what he did with lats year’s roster. Beyond LBJ there wasn’t much there and he found some solid combinations. Even Phil Jackson needs two all stars to produce championships.

Okay, okay

I think there are swarms of restless fans like yourself calling for Brown’s resignation. We’ve heard your cries, but ask yourself the question on the other side of the coin: who will replace him? Of all the unemployed suits, who’s gonna take the Cavs to a 60-win regular season plus 16 playoff wins?

Sir, if you would look back at the playoff results of the Mavs under his tenure, I think it’s safe to say they are flip sides of the same coin. Both are terrible adjustment coaches. IMHO, AJ is just one step above Mike Brown. Remember the finals against Miami and the first round against Golden State. I think Pop is the only viable replacement, but that’s not a possiblity right now. If I have to throw a name out from left field, maybe JFG? He’s coached the hard-nosed squad of New York from yesteryear, somewhat resembling the Cavs now. But keep in mind those battles with Chicago, Miami and the Spurs (in the Finals). I would not trust a rookie coach in Mark Jackson to call the shots for a contending (I use the term loosely) team.

brown fired?

i dont think so, but he needs to do some revamping of the offensive strategies he has, defense will not win championships no matter what anyone says! the primary objective of this game is to put the orange ball into the hoop more times than the other team, sure a key component to assure you win is to limit or stop how many times the opponent makes baskets but players are also known to miss shots all by themselves….think about that for a minute guys…..

moving the ball around, getting better shot selections, balancing the offense can only come from acquiring a true point guard.
