Why not Iverson in Cleveland?
Why has Cleveland not looked at adding Iverson?? With Delonte's issues and potential trouble with his court case coming up on his weapon charges why not? Would Iverson not look good at the #2??? I mean it is only a year and I think he would compliment LeBron for this year?? Do we not have enough money or what? Please educate me.
LeBron
Varejo
Shaq if healthy?
Would that not be a decent starting lineup???

So we add another undersized guard to a length-challenged backcourt.. A guard who needs the ball all the time to be effective, and a selfish player that doesn’t like to play defense.. Not to mention he’ll want a big contract and he’ll bring his own issues to the locker room. Worst idea ever for the Cavs.

I think that these guys would be able to manuever to a championship and win.
The patriots Are the best I dont care what you say what you think, Nothing!!!!!!!!!
The Cavs should DEFINITELY sign Iverson!! Then they could make that trade of Varejao for Al Jefferson! Oooh! Then they could put in the cheat code and swap out the Shaq of 2009 with the Laker Shaq of 2001!! And then.........
Wait, wait. We’re talking about NBA Live 2010, right?
What do you mean we’re talking about the real NBA?
Someone wants to add AI to this current Cavs team? What kind of a lunkhead would even put something like that out there? That’s got to be one of the stupidest………….
Oops. Nevermind.

ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Iverson is a cancer to basketball teams. CANCER, in every sense of the word.
Despite possibly being a better SG than Parker, Iverson would make this team worse off. He hurts teams more than helps them. He messes up any kind of chemistry, ruins the locker room, doesn’t hesitate to throw his teammates under the bus, and leaves a wake in his path.
Iverson is cancer.
Come on people
Let us not be so easily fooled by the media. He is being made to look like the Hitler of basketball, when he is not. That’s Kobe of the early years of this decade, but I digress.
Anyway, let’s not forget this is basketball, a team sport. If there was no chemistry, if he ruins locker rooms like that guy in the local Y showing off his wang, if he throws teammates under a bus and leaves a wake in his path, Philadelphia would not have made their trip to the Finals.
I think it would be asinine for Cleveland to give A.I. the cold shoulder just like that. If the Cavs do sign him up, terms need to be dictated up front: put up or shut up. With Cleveland’s resident problem child in DWest, A.I. with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad growing out his a** couldn’t break the locker room. He should take a look at Shaq: a superstar willing to play a lesser role. If that does not rub off on him, shelve him faster than Detroit did, give him a leave of absence.
If I may pursue a mini-rant for a moment, ruining locker rooms? Seriously? What is this, pee wee basketball?
Are YOU being serious?
Take it from someone who’s had Shaq on his team before…. the only reason Shaq is a “a superstar willing to play a lesser role” is because he can no longer get it done to be able to command the Superstar expectations he’s had in the past. You’re sorely mistaken if you think things would be any different if that wasn’t the case.
Iverson still THINKS he can get it done and from a scoring standpoint he still can to a point. What happens when he’s brought in and he’s splitting minutes with Anthony Parker, Boobie Gibson and Delonte? Even on a winner do you actually believe he’s going to be ok with that? “Inferior” players on the court in crunch time taking his minutes?
And in response to your “mini-rant”, you think only pee-wee sports can be disrupted by a ruined locker room? You don’t think one player can infect the thinking and camaraderie of an entire group? Especially when that person is a respected and admired superstar?
Have you ever been in a locker room? I’m assuming not.

Team Chemistry is bunk
at least that is what stat heads (nerds) would have you think because they have never played sports and don’t know.

That goes for you too, sir.
While I am flattered you think I’m smart enough to be a stat head/nerd (trust me, I am not), I still do not care for that term.
Yes, I am serious, even now. Reasons aside, it still doesn’t change the fact Shaq is still willing to take a ride in the backseat. He could have taken the petulant child route, but instead chose not to.
And like I have stated, sir, if Ferry even has a little interest in the maligned star, terms must be dictated up front. In cases you missed it, Rip Hamilton backed Iverson up in the fact that the latter was indeed lied to by former head coach Michael(?) Curry. If I remember correctly (50/50 on this one, poor memory due to a head injury), even Rasheed Wallace recently stepped up to the plate for A.I. In addition, if you would kindly read the latter part of this article (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=mc-iverson111609&prov=yhoo&type=lgns), his manager states that he would be willing to come off the bench if a championship-caliber team signed him up, although it is most probably necessary to take that with a grain of salt. Again, it would be imperative to dictate the terms up front, and of course show him the requisite candour.
And much as it may perplex you sir, I have been in a locker room. I played varsity ball in high school, obviously before my accident. i can’t speak much on this aspect, as we are/were all very good friends, I find the “cancer” analogy very much befuddling. I am
pretty sure all the players in the NBA have sound, mature minds. And if indeed a player proves to be “cancerous”, I’m sure one teammate or even more will step up to inform the offending player. But even before that, I’m sure there are “enforcers” in the locker room.
Also sir, it would be beneficial for both sides not to make unfounded assumptions about each other, for it raises the probability of things getting contentious. Nothing raises my ire more than that, actually. So please, ease up on the caps lock as well as those assumptions, sir.
AI a Cav?
not guna happen, would be interesting tho…..Cavs would never sign him, they dont need him, they need length at the 2 and a true PG
"minds sharpens minds, like steel sharpens steel"
i think 100% yes because iverso is seen as a cancer because he wont come off the bench i think if we signed him and gave him Anthony parkers spot drop D.west(sorry buddy but your issues are just getting annoying) the cavs would be unstopable lebron needs a gaurd who can score and dish out assist sorry mo but you abilty to dish out assist just sucks.
