Cavaliers swat Rockets 108-83 for 4th straight win
For a half, the Cavaliers toyed with Houston, allowing the 'scrappy' Rockets to hang around and believe they were in the game. Then, with a 3-point lead coming out of halftime, LeBron James and Mo Williams decided enough was enough. James(13) and Williams(12) combined for 25 points as the Cavaliers outscored Houston 32-15 in the 3rd Quarter en route to a 10-83 win at The Q.
It was a game that I was highly interested in since the Cavaliers were coming off of a long, highly successful road trip, and are looking at a trip to Atlanta on Tuesday night. That is the recipe for a classic home, sandwich game letdown. Not tonight. The Cavaliers allowed the Rockets to stay close in the first half, even falling behind by 11 - 16-5 - early in the first quarter.
After that, however, the Cavaliers(24-8) went on a big 16-1 run, and Houston never seemed to be able to keep pace.
For the game, LeBron James scored 29 points in 3 quarters of action - James didn't play in the 4th quarter - while Mo Williams continued his hot shooting with 20 points(4-6 from 3).
Shaquille O'Neal continued to impress with a sweet double-double(13-11), and Zydrunas Ilgauskas chipped in 12. For the Cavaliers it was their 4th straight wins, 9 in 10.
A bit of a rest for the Cavaliers, now, before heading to Atlanta and a showdown with the Hawks.
GO CAVS!

Aw yeah
Now this is much more like it. This is our best game against Houston in a long time, wouldn’t you say?
Looks like our lovable Cavs are back in business after that forgettable Dallas game. And by that I mean those all too powerful Cavs from last year. Only this year, we know how to beat the top NBA teams.
I can’t wait to play Boston again. I know we’ll do much better than we did in the opener.
I want us to beat Atlanta really bad so that they stay at the number 4 seed
If we play a part in keeping Atlanta at #4, it will have huge consequences down the road. Assuming Boston holds us and Orlando off and clinches the number 1 seed. That means Boston will have to play Atlanta in the conference semifinals, something I would delight in very much. Not many teams give Boston jitters like Atlanta.
On top of that, if Atlanta is the number 4 seed and Miami is #5 and Atlanta beats Miami in the first round for the second straight year, it could seriously impact Dwayne Wade’s decisions about whether or not to stay in Miami. If his Heat are knocked out of the playoffs early again, our chances of luring him to Cleveland to play with LeBron are significantly improved, and LeBron will be even more enticed to remain a Cavalier.
Scouts, SMH
You think they would do a better job. You think they would have already noticed. LeBron inbounds pass to teammate X, X pass back to LBJ, time dictates how far LBJ can make his move, LBJ releases shot before buzzer sounds/ a few milliseconds after buzzer sounds, shot counts/ too close to call, refs decide to use video replay. Do your jobs, scouts. Or not. Go Cavs go.
