LeBron James named Player of the Week
For the second time this season, LeBron James was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played 12/21 - 12/27. James led the Eastern Conference in scoring (28.8 ppg), was second in assists (7.3 apg) and added 7.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals as Cleveland went 4-0 on the week, including three wins on the road.
Here is a recap of the incredible week James, and the Cavaliers, enjoyed:
Dec. 21 @ Phoenix: Posted 29 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals in a 109-91 win over the Suns.
Dec. 23 @ Sacramento: Scored 34 points to go along with 16 rebounds and 10 assists in a 117-104 win over the Kings.
Dec. 25 @ L.A. Lakers: Tallied 26 points, four rebounds, nine assists and two steals in a 102-87 win over the Lakers.
Dec. 27 vs. Houston: Recorded 29 points, five rebounds, six assists and three steals in a 108-83 win over the Rockets.
Kobe Bryant won the award in the Western Conference.

LeBron the G.O.A.T.?
LeBron is certainly my favorite NBA player but he has to win championships to be mentioned with Jordan, Russell, Kareem, Magic, Bird…..perhaps even Kobe and Shaq. Having this said….he played a crucial role this week in beating the Lakers. LINK- Heres to you LeBron
+1 + -1?
In regards to the whole championship aspect, I wholeheartedly agree with you, even though I say to petulant Laker fans who nag this point to oblivion in their quest to get the favorable answer in the Kobe vs. LeBron debate that this is a team accomplishment, as opposed to tennis, where a Grand Slam is an individual accomplishment (Digression: Vamos Rafa!). More importantly though, is his role in those championship teams. He must be the one leading the team, as opposed to just riding on someone’s coattails. I have faith that Lebron will win a championship (hopefully multiple) before he calls it a career.
Secondly, I commend you on your drawing skills, although I can’t help but feel that there is veiled insult here. He kind of looks like a monkey with his mouth ajar like that, or one of those weird mouth-breathers (i.e. me), or Lloyd Banks from G-Unit.
Canadian Cavalier (or bandwagon fan if you purists must insist)
Suns giving the Lakers a run for their money tonight
We held them to 91 points and they’ve already scored 89 after 3 quarters
Once again the Lakers are being reduced to a one-man team
The suns bench has toasted the laker bench 40-16
99 points by the suns, fans will get tacos
At least they don’t lose their ever-loving minds over it and chant “we want tacos”
suns by 15
Kobe goes to the bench to rest. Should’ve happened earlier. Very hard to see PHX losing this.
This is your moment, all of you who were patient with the Cavs
After being told to panic and being told that the Cavs weren’t championship caliber and that Shaq was killing our offense, we’re suddenly the toast of the town on ESPN. We’ve got the top spot in the rankings, LeBron is in first place for the MVP, and writers are saying not to forget about us and that now LeBron is better than Kobe.
I was just over on Peachtree Hoops and that same "Shaq is to old, slow, etc. crap…and the Andy is not athletic and a flopper is what they think will win for them…Don’t get me wrong…Atlanta scares me a little but they’re really nothing more than the Suns with a slightly better than average defense

You get the feeling that after our game against Atlanta, the guys on Peachtree Hoops are going to spend the next 24 hours very, very surprised?
yes hopefully…there’s always the chance that LeBron will have to take over and the 1 on 5 could kill the Cavs ….so no OVER confidence here

Lakers going to Adam Morrison down the stretch
Amare dunks and 1. Suns by 19 with 4 minutes to go. Time for LA to give up.
celtics ball, 6 seconds left
warriors by 3, couldn’t score in the last minute
ray allen has bricked 3 3-pointers in a row
ray allen hits the first but misses the rim on the second. He’s the reason the celtics are losing tonight
Lakers look to be in trouble…LO sprained two fingers and Kobe got whacked a few times on his finger….which frankly I’m getting tired of hearing about
I posted something about Kobe taking a lesson from Mo on a Lakers blog and got completely bashed…but it was fun

Saw your comments on PTH and SSR
Very intelligent and thought-out. And thanks for sticking up for me.
Welcome and thanks….You know it’s not a particularly difficult game to watch and figure out…but playing it is a real bear…I’d still be playing in old farts leagues if I didn’t have two mangled knees

The Cavs still don’t have Delonte at full strength and Powe is still rehabbing….heard he was cleared for full contact practice last week and has one more check up in a moth to be cleared to play
