It was over by halftime, just the way it should be.  The Memphis Grizzlies, a team with just 15 wins all season, should get beaten down by the Cavaliers, and with a tough road trip coming up there was some urgency to get it done as quickly as possible.  The Cavaliers did just that, building a 22 point lead at halftime before coasting to a 94-79 win.  It was the 5th straight win for the Cavs who have yet to lose since coming back from the All Star Break.

Even without Delonte West, who was rested as a precaution after his writst stiffened up on Monday, the Cavaliers had little trouble getting up on the Grizzlies.  Led by Daniel Gibson's 19 points, the Cavaliers used a team effort with the bench getting plenty of action.

The Cavaliers were able to rest Zydrunas Ilgauskas and BEn Wallace(19 minutes each) for a majority of the 2nd half, and LeBron James(30 minutes) enjoyed the entire 4th quarter from the bench.  Only Mo Williams(34 minutes) played over 30 minutes for the Cavaliers.

Star-divide

With West back on the sidelines, J.J. Hickson was back in the rotation, and against a team as small as Memphis looked like a dominant big man.  Hickson scored 10 points and grabbed 9 rebounds, playing 28 minutes.  He was active on the defensive end as well.

Overall a solid win over a bad team.  The Cavaliers have done a great job of that this season.  Now they need to go get some quality wins on the road.  All four teams have a winning record and it will be a solid test.

A lot of experts think Memphis will be a good team soon but,

frankly, I just don’t see it. Other than Gay and perhaps Gasol, who scares you? Mayo oblivously has some upside but he hasn’t done well against good defenses. I agree this was a ho-hum game. It was clear from the start they would go down meekly.

They need to add size. They are way too small up front.
