Cavs win, clinch playoff birth with blowout of Bucks

I wasn't able to watch the game live, but will watch the tape now. In all, the Cavs took care of business against a bad team they way they should - quickly and quietly.

The big news of the night was the fact the Cavaliers became the first team in the NBA to clinch a playoff spot.  That is the first goal of every team in the NBA and the Cavs can check it off before the first week of March comes to an end.

At 48-12, the Cavaliers have won an amazing 80% of their games.  Up next, the Celtics in Boston, a game that could put the Cavaliers in the drivers' seat in the Eastern Conference.  Oh yea, and Joe Smith should be in uniform!

GO CAVS!

I wonder what the earliest date to clinch is

for an NBA playoff team. We clinched a day sooner than last years Celts. I would say the Bulls but the East might have been stronger thus making them have to wait later.

Yes, but the Celtics did so having played two more games, good sir (or madam).

If we suffer a major injury the rest of this season

I’m going to shake my fist at the GOBs. This team is so damn good, don’t let anything get in their way.

Adding Joe Smith makes them that much better. Essentially they traded Damon Jones for Mo Williams this off-season. This years team is the culmination of Ferry’s work over the last 3 seasons. Time for it to pay off.

The Cavs just wore the Bucks out.

You could tell the Bucks were playing as hard as they could. RJ was single-handedly keeping it from being a blowout early. But the Cavs methodically just kept extending their lead.

I don’t want to jinx anything but LeBron has been on a tear from 3-point range. Something like 9 of 12 over the last two games? His game is so sick.

By the same token, Delonte can't shoot a lick

everything he shoots from the baseline is way off to the side. Hopefully he can get that straightened out, pun intended.

Your right. He has not been as impressive with his shot since that first game back when he couldn’t miss. But, his defense looks solid and if he gets his stroke back, he can only help us gain HCA.

BTW, 27-1 at home! Who would have thunk that at the start of the season?
