Rasheed Wallace to the Cavs?
http://www.slamonline.com/online/nba/2009/06/rasheed-to-the-cavs/
Slam online is reporting that the Cavaliers are negotiating a contract with Rasheed Wallace for a 2 year deal for $10m per. As a Piston fan, I welcome this move as it will take Cleveland out of contention for the next 2 season and it's a GROSS attempt at trying to stop Dwight Howard as Rasheed Wallace has been able to contain Howard for the last 3 seasons, but who knows how much longer he'll be able to do so?
You can have the guy. Hopefully his lackadasical play will carry on with another roster.

For anyone who wants to take an unbiased look at Rasheed (i.e. not some guy’s opinion) here’s a link to his basketballprospectus page where Rasheed was a 3.9 Wins Above Replacement Player this past year, and here is his basketball-reference stats.
If they are doing this deal to replace Ben Wallace than that would make some sense Rasheed outperformed Ben slightly in WAR last season. But if this is their answer to Varejao leaving (5.5 WAR) than they are going to take a step back (which is why I don’t think they’ll be making this deal).

Hm, thanks for linking this (though I guess it should have been a fanshot). I don’t like Sheed or Randolph, but I guess I would prefer Sheed — as long as it doesn’t require letting Andy go.
I’m curious how this would impact our lineup. Would we start Sheed and Andy, with Z coming off the bench? Because if Sheed is going to guard Howard, Z certainly isn’t going to chase Lewis around…

I don’t see this happening.
Also, if you’re posting only a link please use a FanShot not a FanPost.

New report
According to David Aldridge on NBA.com, Wallace is on his way to have meetings now with San Antonio and Orlando. He says simply “Wallace is not likely to visit Cleveland.”
