Dan Gilbert starts out by presenting Shaq with a snow shovel and boots sinces he’s never played in a cold-weather city before. The boots weren’t large enough so he cut off the toes for him.

Shaq is so funny. He starts out by saying that he couldn’t remember who Danny Ferry was so he looked him up on the computer, and brings out a picture of him playing with Ferry. In the picture Ferry is bent over reaching for the ball and Shaq is right behind him leaning against his rear end. It’s a very compromising position.

Here’s the picture of Shaq and Ferry:

Nothing amuses me more than someone LOLing at their own comment.
You know, on top of being a grown man (assuming) and typing “LOL”.

Right. Unless that person is 12 years old he (or she) should be embarrassed.

Don't get me wrong I love Mo
but at this point you can’t count on him in the playoffs.

Drafting LeBron was something great. Trading nothing for Shaq was something great.
Lets not forget, this helps our chances at signing Ariza, not to mention that would help but is not absolutely necessary.
Shaq joined an already incredible team. That also applies to any free agents we might sign.
2009 Prediction: Att - Yds - TD

Drafting Lebron is only Great if
he wins a title in Cleveland other wise it will be the ultimate kick in the groin. Shaq was a nice move not a great one. Ariza would be nice.

Supposedly he’s close to signing with the Celtics.

Worse news is that Ariza verbally agreed with the Rockets. Damn you Daryl Morey!

Crap. So the Lakers and Rockets essentially traded Artest for Ariza. I wonder who got the better of that one — Artest may be the better overall player, but he’s older and crazy.
Why would Ariza sign with the Rockets? With Yao’s foot troubles they can’t possibly be a real championship contender next year. All he’s getting is the MLE with the Rockets, same as he would have gotten with the Cavs, so I wonder why he chose them.

I think the Rockets will end up with the better player.
by hans on Jul 2, 2009 10:23 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
I agree, not looking like a great move by Ariza.
I know Artest is Artest, but he at least seems like he has matured to the point where he won’t fight fans anymore. I actually thought his statements to the press during the Lakers series were pretty funny and much less crazy than old Artest.
Still, you have to wonder about the Kobe/Artest locker room.
