New trade idea

Facts:

The Utah Jazz have made it clear that they do not want to retain Boozer beyond his current contract.

With Portland offering Millsap a new contract they need to clear cap space to match.

Solution:

Sign and trade Wally for Boozer, Wally's contract should be only partially guaranteed so that the Jazz can buy him out if they want to. However, the contact amount has to match trade regulations (approximately $10.2 mill). The advantage for Utah is that they can retain Millsap and the advantage for Cleveland is that they get Boozer, a scoring and rebounding PF. For Boozer - he plays on a team that can win it all next season and Wally, if bought out, can seek further employment.

Worst trade idea ever

Baseball is God's sport! All Truth Goes Through Three Stages 1.It is ridiculed 2.It is violently opposed 3.Finally, it is accepted as self-evident. kinesiologist

ummm

So… sign Wally for $8m+ and trade him to Utah who is looking to dump salary and then have Utah buy him out?

somewhere in there a rule is being broken, I’m almost sure of it

Yeah....not so much...

Aside from the fact that this would never happen because Utah still considers itself a contender and isn’t looking to just rebuild by dumping salary, why on earth would you want Boozer playing in Cleveland again? He blew it when he lied to us to get a bigger contract in Utah. And the majority of Cavs fans would not support bringing him back.

Actually, I think most Cleveland fans wouldn’t care about the past with Boozer…Lebron? He’s another matter. It would essentially be HIS call, and I don’t know how he feels about Boozer. Probably not good. He would be a solid, solid pickup, although we all know it’s NOT going to happen anyways. His biggest concern is injuries….

reports out of team USA were that LeBron and boozer got along well.

i agree with you that cavs fans are pretty over the old boozer thing. it’s well in the past, and it was a different cavs regime. if ferry/brown/gilbert/LeBron decided that boozer was the right piece to bring in to win a ring, boozer would get a standing ovation.

I would probably be really angry if they acquired Boozer…until his first 20/15 night.

Of all the reasons that this trade idea is retarded, you criticized the trade with one that is the least retarded.

nice job.

booz in cleveland?

um how about no?
i mean they signed andy to that contract for a reason and that reason is so that he can start! and if things dont work out with shaq, they move andy to the center position to replace him…that is why they signed him.
they do not have enough to offer utah for boozer, well nothing that utah would want anyways, they will part ways, but if it is for a sign and trade? then it will take more than wally to make utah foam at the mouth, they would want high value high production, similar contracts for boozer, they have already stated that.
If utah would bum rush any deal, it would be with miami, who is offering beasley and haslem…..nuff said
