I hope that people are more generous to you if you’re ever down.

Pay me 4 million a year and I’ll cry on my way to practice everyday

find someone to pay your $4 million a year to play professional basketball; otherwise, your counterpoint is irrelevant.

Right — money solves every problem. You can cure depression with $4 million. I’ll bet for $10 million you can even beat cancer.

by Buckeye Brad on Sep 30, 2009 3:33 PM CDT up reply actions

Yeah, depression and cancer are EXACTLY the same.

Depression is a disease — I have family members who suffer from depression. No amount of money will cure depression.

Jesus

Do you have a heart? The man is fighting some serious demons and you want the Cavs to kick him to the curve.

The phrase is “kick him to the curb”, not curve

I don’t know of any other job where you can just not show up for work (completely unexcused) and have people feel sorry for you because of this.

Geez, the man has a medical problem. Quit being an a-hole.

And it has nothing to do with what job he has. Obviously you think professional athletes shouldn’t have any problems just because they have a lot of money, but that’s not the case. Athletes have problems just like the rest of us.

Name calling? Seriously?

Well Dr. Brad, we all appreciate your diagnosis. Hopefully our differing opinions don’t cause you to fall off your high horse.

You didn’t offer an opinion — you criticized a person for having a mental illness, and assumed that he should magically be cured because he makes a lot of money. How do you not see what’s wrong with that.

by Buckeye Brad on Oct 1, 2009 11:02 PM CDT up reply actions

Wah wah

Oh he’s such a victim….his perception is off so we must all feel soooo sorry for him. Not taking your meds because you want to “experiment” is not excusable behavior. Don’t be a bitch, Brad. People need to be held accountable for their behavior.

If someone didn’t show up to my office because of having an issue related to them being bi-polar, i’d feel sorry for them.

i had an incident with a bi-polar person about 8 years ago. it’s scary to see someone’s flip switch and how they act in society while under their own false sense of reality.

“flip switch” = “switch flip”.

Listen to you people. Are the Cavs suddenly a charity? You are worried about Delonte West…. what about the millions of people all over the country who get fired or are incarcerated due to repurcussions of their mental illness? Doesn’t matter if Delonte is screwed in the head, the Cavs exist to win basketball games and earn money. Delonte’s behavior is threatening this.

thats true

but from what ive been reading, now that we have Parker and all these other guys West is dispensible? Maybe im lookin at what your saying the wrong way. I dont care who we picked up, West is a BIG part of this team and “his behavior” is the way it is because of an illness he has. Its not like we’re dealing with a Chad Ochocinco here. He just needed sime time away. Theres no excuse for him to have handled it the way he did but dont forget, he has an illness so hes not goin to think along the same lines as maybe you or I would.

by siejecy on Oct 2, 2009 7:13 AM CDT up reply actions

I understand the illness

but he stil shouldn’t have left people who have treated him like family (by all accounts, from all sides) high and dry. It was only 2 days and that’s good….but if he needs a break again, how about clearing it with the team or at least letting them know wtf is going on? That’s all we ask, Delonte. Just let a mofo know whats up.

Beyond that…welcome back! No grudges held by anyone and thank you for pulling it together sooner rather than later! All the best!

So much for "Wild Wild West" pulling it together!

Pyscho boy’s return was shortlived…

Pull it together and come on back, Delonte
