Mo Williams out tonight against Lakers

Cavaliers guard Mo Williams suffered a left shoulder sprain during Tuesday night's game versus Toronto. He is currently being evaluated at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health and will be OUT for tonight's game versus the Los Angeles Lakers. His status will be further updated this afternoon.

That means the Cavaliers will need a big night from Delonte West, and Boobie Gibson will likely have to dust-off his jump-shot as well.  William scored a season-high 28 points against the Lakers on Christmas Day.

"It's tough," Head Coach Mike Brown said. "But I like the guys in this locker room and I'm confident other guys will step up. It's part of the business. You hope he gets better soon but you have to keep going forward."

Delonte has played really well as of late

and is a physical guard, offensively and defensively. I expect a big game out of him tonight.

Noooooo

I’d so much rather the Lakers face the Cavs at full strength even if they aren’t at full strength themselves.

Boobie Time!

This is pretty bad news, especially if he’s out for a while. We’re going to need Boobie to step up big with Mo gone.

This only seems like bad news....

it is really an opportunity to show that we are a better team than we get credit for. I say D. West comes up big tonight. If Mo could abuse Derek Fisher on Christmas day, so can Delonte.

So I told her," I'll be nicer if you try to be smarter!'..That was a mistake.

Windhorst is reporting that Mo is out 4 weeks. This could turn out to be a good thing for Delonte and Boobie, and our team in general. Give these guys more experience playing the point. Hopefully LeBron doesn’t try to take over and go 1 on 5 from the top of the key due to loss of Mo.

LeBron has more faith in players like Jawad Williams than the rest of the roster does, I think.

Jawad can play the #2, 3, or 4 spot…and they have Darnell for the #4-5……they can even get Z some time at the #4…maybe this will give MB a chance to get some extended looks at Danny Green…of course in non-critical situations at first…If he progresses well and Darnell plays well, they could well be 14 deep when Powe returns….wouldn’t that be a pleasant situation for MB?…I’m guessing it’s going to be Delonte @PG and LeBron @ Point Forwad

Delonte will have a lot of responsibility today, which Delonte shows up is the difference between beating them and getting blown out. If Delonte at his best shows up he will dominate fisher and be the difference, if bad Delonte shows up we lose.

as long as his mind doesn’t betray him, he’ll be fine..this may just be what he needs to get all the way back to last year’s form
