Cavs/Suns talking Amare??
A potential deal could save the Suns millions but would an Amare/Shaq reunion work?? They weren't exactly a match made in heaven in Phoenix.....

i think they should wait
really i think they should. the team is working out fine as it is. and i was kinda hoping they would just try and get chris bosh come summertime. i can see him and lebron playing well together. but another sleeper player i was kinda hoping they would have went for over the summer was david lee. this guy has alot of upside and he’s young. he may not be as powerful but i look at david lee as a poor mans dwight howard. we could really use a high powered rebounder like him. and he is developing into a scoring threat. i was hoping if we couldnt get bosh this summer that they might get david lee since he is only signed to a one year contract with new york.

David Lee is good, I’d certainly feel good about having him on the team, and it will be nice to see the Knicks undervalue him and let him go through free agency next season to try and sign “big names”.

yea i really like david lee’s game. and he plays hard every night. the knicks already undervalue him. signing him to a 1 year deal was a slap in the face. and you know new york city. they want the big names. but give it a couple years. david lee will be a big name.

This could also be posturing to let Washington know that they don’t have the upper hand in any Jamison discussions.

thats true. i like jamison’s game. he’s an all star no doubt. but i would rather have someone just as good but younger. so if they do trade for jamison who do we give up? z? boobie? j.j.?

We must never trade Z
He’s earned lifetime immunity here. It doesn’t matter if he misses every shot he takes for the rest of his career. He’s family to us. He must retire a Cavalier.

I think the Cavs will only trade Z if the team will promise to release him so he can resign with the Cavs after one month.

that’s what i was was thinking. i would hate to see the cavs win a championship without big z. that would suck.

that is exactly what they're trying to do
Big Z is not trade bait at this point. The only deal for a team would be to get rid of payroll by buying out his contract. Z and another player from the Cavs is what the front office has been putting out there.

i agree with you 100 percent. z is a cavalier for life. thats why i said who do we give up? because it just doesnt seem worth it.

with Crit facing a felony gun rap and Arenas likely out for the season, I doubt the Wiz are looking for anything but equal value now…They’ll want size and The Cavs won’t part with it

pleaded it down to a misdemeanor and will probably get probation…and he’s the one who supposedly had the LOADED gun in an NBA locker room….have to wonder how all of this will affect Delone’s problems-suspension wise

NO
We’ve got enough forwards as it is. Besides, we’d be completely abandoning our strength, which is our defense. Amare cannot play defense. He can’t. Not a lick of it.

Would this give us his Bird-rights?
Which could allow the Cavs to sign and trade him in the off-season. Can you offer two players max deals? If so, we could use Amare to get talent in return AND get some cap relief.
