This team showed what hard work and dedication can accomplish. The Cavaliers pushed their way to a huge opening night victory against the Boston Celtics, 95-87, one night after the Celtics seemingly dominated the Miami Heat.

J.J. Hickson lead the way with 21 points and 6 rebs on 8-11 shooting and really showed what type of play this team can expect from him this year. Booby Gibson added 16 and Ramon Sessions had 14 to help the Cavaliers cause. The Cavaliers ended with five players in double figures.

Although the Cavaliers found themselves down 66-55 in the third quarter, they never gave up. The Cavaliers turned up the defensive pressure and continued to push the tempo in their favor, forcing the Celtics to take quick shoots and play out of rhythm. In turn, the Cavaliers out-scoured the Celtics 40-21 the rest of the way.

What a great start to the season.
