Post Game Chatter

A few quotes after the Cavaliers played the San Antonio Spurs on 11/20/10.

"You’re going to have break-downs each and every game. Against the good teams you want to minimize them. The big games we’ve won and the big games that we’ve been close in, you can’t make many mistakes and we didn’t in those games. Against some teams you make some mistakes and they don’t make you pay for it. Tonight, going into this game, we knew they would make us pay for the mistakes. They’re not going to beat themselves. We’ve got to be solid. We made some mistakes and showed our youth at times. They showed their veteran status and did a lot of things well." - Mo Williams

Star-divide

"It’s execution and a lack of communication. We’ve got to do a much better job with communicating, stick to the game plan, and do things like switch on the (Matt) Bonner pick and roll. We left him with those wide-open threes. I don’t know if that’s a lack of focus as well, but that was the game plan that we talked about." - Coach Byron Scott about Defense.

"I just thought from an execution standpoint we just didn’t do the things we talked about. I thought it was a good opportunity to play against a very good basketball team." - Coach Byron Scott about the 4th Quarter.

"I think the biggest part was just the fact that all the little things we talked about on the defensive end that we emphasized this morning didn’t happen tonight. The Spurs aren’t going to beat themselves. We gotta make sure we take away a lot of the easy buckets and things like that. We didn’t do a very good job on the defensive end… Record wise, we basically played the best two teams in the last two nights, so we’ve got a long way to go." - Coach Byron Scott on the game as a whole.

"They are the two best teams in the league right now. [The Spurs] are playing at a high level. They’ve got players who have been in the system for awhile. They’re playing at an All-Star level. In the past they’ve been a great team at home and so far this season there’s nothing different. We knew it was going to be a challenge and we wanted to use these two games as a measuring stick. We showed signs, but we’re just not consistent enough for 48 minutes to be able to compete against these two teams these last couple days."   -Antawn Jamison on playing back to back.

Mo shouldnt be upset anyway

He was on fire, played pretty good d (3 steals), and got people involved, mainly in the first half. I still dont understand why Ramon was in until the 4:30 point of the 2nd though when he wasnt playing well and Mo had been.

They were just a much better team than us, and have about double the talent that we do.

I just hope Mo and Boobie continue to shoot like this.

Congratulations and welcome aboard, CByers!

So glad to have you here!

Sorry I couldn’t participate in the game yesterday, everyone. I was on a flight home.

darn it

I’m trying to learn how to type the letter n with a tilda. I was told that I’m supposed to type Alt 164, but it doesn’t happen.

it worked! it worked!

Unfortunately, it only works on a computer with a numeric keypad, so I’m hopelessly lost on my gateway laptop. You have to hold down Alt and type 0241 with Num Lock turned on. And for all you Mac users out there, I DON’T WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT.

Yeah

My laptop has a set of functions in blue ink instead of black ink on the keyboard, which I can access by using the “Fn” button. I found that out just now. I see a numeric keypad in blue ink.

No problem here

So long as you are not an uninformed troublemaker here to defend LeChoad and revel in our extra losses compared to last year.

Every pessimist thinks himself a realist. In the case of Cleveland sports fans, they are probably right.

I am a Lakers fan too

I just became a Cavs fan over the offseason after a few players decided to switch teams. If you dont know much about our team, we have several decent veterans, some old and tired veterans, some young good talent, and some young bad talent.
