As many others i have been watching our new Cavs team. Also as other fans see the problems of this team & surely Scott is seeing them too. He is, in my opinion working to correct some of the problems. I am not a basketball master mind, but can see problems with certain players & would like to hear others thoughts on it. First, as i mentiond awhile ago, the A. Parker thing Once again he is a starter & shouldnt be. He only scored 2pts Saturday & 5pts Friday. Most bench players @ #2 guard in the Nba do better. Sure, onc & awhile he does something good, but not on a regular bases. Next his Defense is much to be desired. He's to slow to guard most Nba #2 guards. Every game i see him chasing his man on D but usualy 1-2 steps behind. This then causes other players to try & pick up the slack, but then their gets open. I feel, even though a rookie, Manny Harris should be used more. I'm sure he will score as much as Parker & is much faster on defense. He can never improve or show what he can do sitting on the bench. Start Sessions with Mo & let Harris get playing time with Boobie. Cant hurt ti try it. Next big problem is JJ. Yes he has the ability & athletism, but not the mind set. He only wants to be a offensive player & it shows badly. Watch him as when he gets the ball he doesnt want to give it up. He'd rather drive into 3 defensive players & get jammed instead of passing the ball to the open man. He is so quick to move on offense, but yet gets real slow & gets beat on defense, doesnt box out or hit the boardsa as he should. There's no glory or show off in that. Scott sees this too. Thats why his minutes has dropped dramatically & is the first starter to get pulled & used very little in the 4th period. I'd rather see Jamison start & let JJ come from the bench. Maybe then it would wake him up on how the game needs to be played in the Nba. The rest of things are getting better & will take time to work out getting use to playing with each other. Glad to hear some of others thoughts. Go Cavs!!
