Just Keep Winning: Cavaliers Bench Scores 52 In 93-91 Win Over Nets

It's becoming a habit for the Cavaliers, and while Byron Scott would likely prefer the Cavaliers play solid for 48 minutes, winning is never a bad thing.

J.J. Hickson scored 18 points to lead five Cavaliers in double-figures as the Cavaliers once again overcame a lackluster 3rd quarter to beat the New Jersey Nets 93-91 in New Jersey.

For the Cavaliers it was their 3rd straight win - all coming on the road - and gives the Cavs their 4th win of the season. The two teams will fly to Cleveland tonight and play a rematch at Quicken Loans Arena on Wednesday night.

Antawn Jamison scored 15 points off the bench in his first game in over a week. Jamison hit 3-of-4 from deep and brought down 8 rebounds in his best game as a Cavalier in a long time. Along with 15 points from Ramon Sessions and 14 from Daniel Gibson, the Cavaliers bench outscored the Nets bench 52-17.

The Cavaliers needed every bit of it with the starting group - minus Hickson - having an off night. Mo Williams scored just 2 points on 1-12 shooting.

The Cavaliers have now won nine straight games over the Nets - 5 straight in new Jersey.

Hopefully Mo doesnt play like this much, but there is nothing to be done about that

On the other hand, they really need to make those free throws. 50% on 20 attempts is just not acceptable for an NBA team- my 2nd grade basketball team averaged 65% on the same basket that these pros are shooting at.

The are called FREE throws for a reason.

Parker missed some free throws, uncharacteristic of him to do so. I’m guessing a fluke for him at least.

And that Miami crowd was so quiet

If that it was Cleveland, that place would have been rocking

Why does Eddie House keep getting to take the final shot?

Good job, good job!

Happy to see you guys pick it up in the past few games. Keep at it.

Cheers

Love the balance of this team. A win is a win, but Mo’s shooting and the FT’s leave a bad feeling. I expect jersey to clamp down on the perimeter tonite, looking for JJ to have a big impact. Glad we can win with Mo doing crappy, really wish he could be more consistent though…

College basketball just became more interesting...
