Did Cavs pull J.J. out of Suns deal??
In reality, the chances of Stoudemire being traded went from strong to doubtful Wednesday, when Cleveland pulled power forward J.J. Hickson out of a potential deal with the Suns. Despite talk of Hickson being a Stoudemire replacement, the Suns had other plans with a move in the works to send Cleveland center Zydrunas Ilgauskas to Utah in a three-way deal that might have given the Suns a star power forward in Carlos Boozer.
Paul Coro, who wrote the story, is legit. It seems the Cavaliers may have decided, once they had a deal with Washington/LAC in place to try and get Amare without J.J. being included.

Whatever the case, I’m thrilled to have Jamison and JJ still!

Just too many possibilities to know for sure.
1. Did LeBron want to keep JJ and continue to “develop” him?
2. Was Ferry worried about getting boned again by Kerr ala last year with the Shaq trade?.
3. Was he worried about being able to keep Amare beyond the 4 month rental?
Whatever. Who cares? While Amare would have been awesome, I think Jamo made us a whole lot better!
