2010 NBA Trade Deadline Open Thread

The Cavaliers have already made their big move at the Deadline which leaves us to watch everyone else scramble around.  Talk about the deals, the rumors, and the winners and losers here.  This post will be updated with all the latest as it happens!

Knicks Acquire McGrady in 3-team deal -

The Houston Rockets, Sacramento Kings and New York Knicks have agreed to terms that will expand the Houston-Sacramento deal into a three-way trade that lands Tracy McGrady with the Knicks, according to NBA front-office sources.

The Knicks will acquire McGrady and Sergio Rodriguez from Sacramento, sources said.

The Rockets get Kevin Martin, Jordan Hill and Jared Jeffries from New York and Hilton Armstrong from Sacramento to make the salary-cap math work. Houston also will have the right to swap first-round picks with New York in 2011 as well as take on New York's 2012 first-round pick.

Sacramento obtains Houston's Carl Landry and Joey Dorsey and New York's Larry Hughes.

Bucks, Sixers complete a deal

The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to a trade that will send Jodie Meeks, Francisco Elson and a second-round draft pick to the Philadelphia 76ers for Primoz Brezec and Royal Ivey, it was reported.

Bucks and Bulls complete deal for John Salmons

The Chicago Bulls made it official on Thursday by announcing they have traded John Salmons to the Milwaukee Bucks for the expiring contracts of Hakim Warrick and Joe Alexander.

The Bucks also have the option of switching first-round picks in this year's draft, provided the Bulls' pick isn't in the top 10. The Bulls added second-round draft choices in 2011 and 2012.

Kings

Can’t believe they gave up on Martin for pretty much nothing. Guy is a great scorer could have got more for him i would think he makes a lot but, he’s young and still will probably get better.

Actually he’s getting worse.

actually he was injured most of the year and when he came back he was not at all 100%.

He was really sluggish when he came back but his scoring has drastically improved the last couple weeks. recently he is back to his old form. He is not getting worse at all…

he still hasn’t found his 3 point shot…but he also will get a lot less attention in houston.

Bucks

What’s up with them giving up on Joe Aexander so soon? He’ll probably do good with Chicago. A lot of moves this year.

He hasn’t played in a game this year.

Epic Fail of the Day: STEVE KERR!!!

Agreed! That’s what i said yesterday. Good chance he’s looking for a new job after this year. He took over a good team and pretty much ruined them.

lol…yeah.

first he couldn’t pull the trigger on the shaq trade at the trade deadline. then he trades away shaq for chump change, especially compared to the offer from the deadline.

then he doesn’t trade away amare and is either going to do a sign and trade after the season and get crap or (much more likely) amare will just leave.

So the Cavs made the best deal of the deadline. They should be a lock for the Finals. Good work Ferry.

The Rockets absolutely fleeced everyone in that trade by taking on the Jefferies contract. Those Knicks draft picks should both be good picks, especially when they flip in 2011.

especially when LeBron spurns them and the Knicks have $30 million of cap space and nobody worth paying.
