Gotta love New York. They have completely mortgaged the future for LeBron.

There are so many teams that are going to be absolute garbage
for the next few years because these players can only go so many place.
There is no way Wade doesn’t go to Chicago.
I’d say it is 70/30 Lebron returns to Cleveland.
That leaves Stat, Bosh, and Boozer basically to try for these teams that have given up their draft picks and what little talent they had left to rebuild.

If he leaves Miami
Chicago is the best fit for him, being from Chicago, where his idol played, with another elite player already waiting for him there.

I see, seems logical. However, if Miami can make a deal for Amare after the season, or sign him as a free agent (I don’t know there cap situation), isn’t there a good chance he stays?
Sure
I didn’t mean to say that I ABSOLUTELY see him leaving. I meant ‘if he leaves….’

If the cavs can keep lebron and keep upgrading the roster where they can, I would love to see bosh and Wade both go to chicago next year. The new and improved bulls (Rose, Wade, Deng, Bosh, Noah) would make a nice nemesis for the cavs for a few seasons.

New Yorkers
Have to be the most delusional people in the world. I’m so sick of New York everything. They think they are the center of the sports world.
Have they ever bothered to look at their roster even with 2 stars they would blow still. I doubt they’ll get 2 stars anyways and i’ll laugh when they have to settle on Joe Johnson and nobody else.
I would also say since the Cavs are good i would put LeBron’s chances of staying more than 70% i would say 90% at the least. Not just saying that because, i’m a homer either.
I live near a lot of displaced long islanders. all of these people are convinced lebron wants to go to the knicks because he “wants to make a lot of money” and the knicks “have a lot of money”
I would say they are easily over 70%. in the preseason, ESPN did a poll of where the 2010 free agents would go. wade bosh and amare most of the analysts had moving (i forget where). lebron though was voted by about 75% of the people as staying in cleveland. the knicks got less than 10%…
If you polled the same people now, I think it would be near 85%. not only is the cavs record great, but shaq has fit in well, JJ has developed and we now have Jamison…
I don't think he's going anywhere
but you’ll definitely have to sign someone to bolster your aging frontcourt other than Jamison. Cuz who knows how much longer Shaq or Z is gonna play.
I agree. I don’t know if we will have shaq next year. the one thing about the jamison trade is we don’t have a draft pick. I think the cavs definitely need to go after a FA center. he doesn’t have to be a star, but a guy who can play good D and get rebounds, and score a little in the low post.
Here are some guys though that could come on the cheap as FAs in the offseason and could be nice additions:
Tyson Chandler
Brendan Haywoood (love him)
Marcus Camby
Darko Milicic.
this list looks weird probably to a casual fan but a combination of 2 of these guys is great. I love tyson chandler and he is a very good player…when healthy and not in foul trouble. that is his problem. but if you want to sign him to a small contract and have him play on the bench, he is a great player.
Marcus Camby has still got it. he is older but he still is a great player. camby is not used on offense as much in the past but when he gets a shot, he is a double double machine. he is an active defender and rebounder, he runs the court better than you would expect, and has a much better offensive game (when used) than most people realize. the only reason I see NOT signing him is he is 34…so you have maybe him AND shaq… not a good combo (and if no shaq you are replacing an old guywith an old guy)
Brendan Haywood. haywood is a monster. He is a 10 and 10 machine with 2 blocks a game. you can’t ask for much more from a center. he is 7’0 with a big frame, and blocks shot extremely well and rebounds well…and is an underrated post scorer…he is 30, but he still will have some years left.
Darko: now darko is interesting. he technically is a bust as a player so far but I still see potential there. he is a solid scorer an amazing shot blocker and amazing rebounder. he just hasn’t found the right system yet. he was horrible with detroit but then they traded him to orlando. he was actually quite good with orlando. in his time there, in 110 games, he posted a PER of about 15. while this isn’t great it is solid. then orlando got rid of him and he went to the grizzlies and the knicks, 2 places he just didn’t fit and he suffered. in the right system he could still develop into a very nice player…he is only 24…
I think the cavs are the right system for him to develop. the cavs focus on Defense and he is a good defensive player. although he is technically a forward on rosters now (or a F-C) he is more of a true center. he has a low post game offensively and he is an excellent shot blocker…plus he is 7 feet. for the right price it would be a good idea to take a flier on him.
Turns out that
these were photoshopped.

Hello, I am a Knick fan and I wish I could talk smack about how we’re taking LeBron, but I can’t imagine LeKing leaving unless Jamison keeps shooting like that. Anyway, just want to let you know that Fear The Sword was selected as one of our 20 Blog Voices quoted on this McGrady for Cap Space Trade. Feel free to drop by and visit us.
