My only concern is if we do fire Mike Brown, then who do we bring in to replace him? It’s not like this is the NFL and there are SB winners just hanging out in FO’s and as broadcasters. I certainly don’t want an unproven college coach, either. I’m all for firing the guy, if we can line up a strong replacement before hand.
CAVS
YOU HAVE 7 OR 8 PLAYERS, EVEN 5 REAL STARTERS BUT ONLY 1 OR 2 REAL FINISHERS. CAVS WERE EXPOSED AGAIN. LIKE LAST SEASON, THEY ARE GREAT IN 1 GAME NOT SO GOOD IN 3 OR 4 GAMES IN A ROW BECAUSE THEY DON’T LEARN AND ADJUST. THEY KEEP DOIN THE SAME THING AND OTHER TEAMS ADJUST AND GO FOR THE KILL. COACH HAS TO GO WITH THE FERRY TO PASTURE. DONE-NEXT
COACH HAS TO GO WITH THE FERRY TO PASTURE
I agree with you on Mr. Brown, but I feel Ferry has done a good job with the options he had at his disposal. Most people agreed at the beginning of this season that the addition of Shaq gave us the best chance to get over the hump and to make it back to the finals. I had my doubts based on what I saw of his performance in Phoenix, and with the late season injury the team never jelled with him back in the lineup. Brown gave him too many minutes, continually running the offense through him (big mistake) and Z should have played more minutes. Just look at the +/- differential for virtually every game that Shaq played, going back to the regular season. Mike Brown looked clueless throughout the Boston Series, standing on the sidelines with his mouth open whilst the C’s went on countless xx-0 runs. Every time I saw Shaq check back into the game I felt a foreboding sense that the Cavs scoring was about to grind to a halt. Brown could have used Hickson better, and when Mo was putting up brick after brick, why couldn’t he have sat him down for a spell and put in Gibson?

I appreciate both Dan Gilbert and Danny Ferry. I just don’t understand why they have such a hard time surrounding LeBron with the players and the system they need to succeed in the playoffs. LeBron wants a true point guard who can run the break, so get him a couple of true point guards instead of the million combo guards they have had for the past several years, and run the fast break the way the Celtics did during the Russell years, and the way the Lakers did during the Magic years. But don’t forget that both of those teams won not just with fast break basketball, but primarily with defense. This isn’t rocket science. LeBron is still at the age where his body can withstand a lot of running. Surround him with those who can run and can even more play defense against the Boston’s, the Orlando’s, the Laker’s, the Sun’s, etc. It’s not that difficult…
Here's the real problem
I broke down Game 6 and there are two major problems: Mo Williams and Mike Brown.

Good analysis, although “Goodbye LeBron! (Hello Chicago?)” isn’t exactly gonna get you much love over here. So keep that out of it next time, as well as the ‘Top Gun’ ’humor and stick to the analysis.
