Anderson Varejao Update
Cavaliers forward Anderson Varejao left last night's game versus the Boston Celtics at the end of the third quarter with low back spasms and did not return. He was reexamined at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health this morning by Head Team Physician Dr. Richard Parker. The results of the exam confirmed the back spasms (MRI and X-Rays were negative). He is receiving treatment and is currently listed as day-to-day.

Had to happen now, didn't it?
Lebron’s elbow and Anderson’s back…. the main scorer’s shooting arm and the energy guy’s back…. holy hell, it couldn’t get much worse

I would like to believe that you’re right, but unfortunately, LeBron rested the last four games of the regular season, and then with the layoff before the Bulls series started, he had been resting for nearly two weeks, and though it did not seem to be bothering him at the beginning of that series, it obviously was by the end of it. I am convinced that LeBron did something to his elbow in the Toronto game right before he began resting, or that it was already bothering him and he aggravated it further against the Raptors. If that is the case, and a long rest did not make it ‘good to go’, I doubt if three days off will help much.
As far as Andy goes, I am hoping that the back spasms are REALLY all that is wrong, and this injury is not a complication going back to the game or two that HE missed near the end of the season, since it seems that LeBron’s entire situation was a complete mystery to the fans right until he tried that lefty free-throw, and only then did we find that it had been bothering him for at least ‘a couple of weeks’.
