LeBron James '100%' Behind Cavaliers Run At Tom Izzo
He may not want to be part of the process, and the Cavaliers may not be involving him in the search for their new Head Coach. Either way, it appears LeBron's thoughts on the matter have leaked out anyway.
According to Brian Windhorst, a source close to James has said LeBron is supportive of the hire, should Izzo agree to come to the Cavaliers.
According to a high-level source, James would endorse the Cavs' hiring Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo.
Cavs owner Dan Gilbert said last week that James is not involved in the search for a replacement for Mike Brown, but sources have indicated James approves of the highly-respected Izzo. James also said in an interview with Larry King that he doesn't want to be heavily involved with selecting his next coach.
But James "100 percent" would endorse Izzo's hiring, the source said.
Is this move a message from LeBron to Izzo, letting him know that he would be willing to play for him? Is this LeBron's way of massaging Izzo into taking the job? Every day is a new conspiracy theory, and this is not different. It does make the non-stop waiting for Izzo's decision a bit more bearable, however.

Can we please stop with the “according to a source” updates. They are mostly BS 90% of the time. Who was the source the guy at the candy counter of the movie theatre Lebron was seen at last week ? The guy probably asked Lebron what he thought of Tom izzo and Lebron probably said “He is a good coach”. Now all of Cleveland is in a frenzy. Lebron is going to explore all of his options come July first no matter what teams do before that time. He is going to enjoy the “Summer of me” as he loves attention. Everything between now and July first is pure speculation. Half the media guys who cover the cavs including the PD reporter mentioned in this blog rehash other articles and simply add a line or two to make it look like new news. How come “to date” the biggest news involving the cavs this summer was “broken” by outside of Cleveland media members and not our own media members who cover the team every day ? The firing of Mike Brown, Danny Ferry leaving, the hiring of the new GM and Tom Izzo talking to the cavs were all stories reported by a media member outside of Cleveland before someone in Cleveland reported it. Even if Mr lord of no rings endorses Izzo that does not mean he will still end up resigning here. We hope he does but alot can happen with other teams such as trades, etc between now and August that may sway Lebrons decision.
