Apparently David Geffen is in talks to buy 51% of the Clippers from Donald Sterling (you know, the guy whose incompetent ownership is the reason the Clippers aren't considered a serious threat for Lebron). Maverick Carter sat next to Geffen at game 2 of the finals, and Lebron was supposed to be in Geffen's seats until he cancelled just before the game for an unknown reason.
Geffen is supposedly guaranteeing to Sterling that he can deliver Lebron...as long as he's calling the shots. This works out for Sterling (if he's capable of looking at it logically) he sells 51% for market value and breaks even on it, and makes a huge profit on the 49%.
The Clippers roster is basically created for a superstar to slot in at the SF position and you have potentially the best starting 5 in the NBA. The equivalent of Dwight going to the Thunder.
I'll be honest, I was about 80% sure Lebron was resigning, all of our rivals for him have their flaws, if the Clippers make this happen they become the number one threat in the Lebron race.
