Cavaliers end Summer League play with uninspired, short-handed loss to Bucks
After beginning the Summer League with three straight wins, Cleveland limped home with losses in their final two games, including an 80-66 loss today to Milwaukee in a game that saw the Cavaliers use only seven players, and rest J.J. Hickson and Danny Green.
Jerome Dyson led the way for the Cavs with 18 points, while David Monds had a huge game with 14 points and 15 rebounds. Pooh Jeter and Christian Eyenga both tallied eleven points. But a total of four assists - for the entire game - said about all that needed to be said about the end of the Las Vegas "season".
Now we wait for training camp, and hope that the Cavaliers will be able to hold their own in the coming season. An addition or two between now and camp would be - shall we say - a welcome sight.

You know something?
I can’t wait for the season to start. I’m serious!
Who’s with me?
I'm a diehard Cavs fan, proud to say I never owned a LeBron jersey.
Do you realize how much humiliation you’re causing me? Do you have any idea what anyone would say if they saw this page? How idiotic it would look to see someone essentially talking to themselves?
I'm a diehard Cavs fan, proud to say I never owned a LeBron jersey.
Finally! Someone else with multiple personalities…maybe we could get together and have a quadruple personality man-date (I am assuming you’re a guy)

man…what happens when you two are alone??

What’s your imaginary friend like?

he is very condescending and snarky and likes to think he is better than everyone.

Hey, be nice to each other. You need the other side to balance one side out!

Not if I kill Jerry…He is so annoying with his mellow attitude and his talkativeness…I just want to stab him in the face…

<emOkay then Brad, come and get me. I can’t believe I resorted to this, but I got a gun…yeah, just picked it up. So TRY ME! I will FREAKIN KILL YA!em>

Sigh...
He did.
He changed his account to LBJ6Heat, and made up a bullshit story about how he was always a Heat fan, and LeBron just HAPPENED to be his favorite player. It’s ridiculous. Saurav has worked tirelessly to expose his charade, tracking his comments and warning everyone. He even wrote a fanpost informing us about it. I’m so embarrassed, since I used to consider “CavsLeBronFan” a friend.
I'm a diehard Cavs fan, proud to say I never owned a LeBron jersey.
oh well nothing you can do about that.
IN LA there are so many fans like that its ridiculous. Someone at work who I have known for 5 years and was a Lakers fan came up to me and asked me if I “was ready for his Heat” to beat on my Lakers. I will never let him live that down. How can someone root for an individual player rather than the team itself? I will never understand that. If Kobe left I would say F! him. I love the team more than any individual player.

That's unbelievable
How could anyone leave the Lakers? I don’t care if they get the worst record in the NBA next year; who are you to give up on a franchise with 16 NBA titles in glamorous Los Angeles with fans all over the world and the best player?
I'm a diehard Cavs fan, proud to say I never owned a LeBron jersey.
you wanna his answer when I pretty much asked the same question?
he said, “I hate Kobe” that answer is the most common you will ever hear.

do it! he emails me all the time. He is such a cool guy to.
honestly, the best thing I took out of SSR is the friendships I made. You, PS, shaq, Sczheck ( I forget how to spell it). I wish we all lived close by so we could chill.

I have officially joined the party.
I'm going to take my talents to... your mom... Literally every single team that's ever won a championship has done it without LeBron James.
Hey guys! Good to have you here.

It's not fair
I tell you, there are times when I’m also not happy with what the moderators or the general opinion of the comments are enforcing. But I feel that since I’m a Cavs fan, I always have to watch what I say, so I never try to make a stand in an argument.
I'm a diehard Cavs fan, proud to say I never owned a LeBron jersey.
that is a good way to see it. the moderators abuse their power. You seen it
first hand because I stepped in several times to stand up for you. I even told CA Clark that i had no hard feelings and told him I would buy him a beer and envited him to my meeting with PS and he NEVER replied.

it was only temporarily. I was told to chill out. But CA made the decision to make it peramanent. btw..I dont mind telling you that stuff.

It says a lot about our trust that you don't mind telling me about this
But be careful. We’re on Fear the Sword. I’m sure Lex L, johnny, emily, Juannieboy, CavsBlogger, AncientMariner, and other Cavs fans have no idea what we’re talking about, and probably don’t care, but they’re not the only ones who can read this.
I'm a diehard Cavs fan, proud to say I never owned a LeBron jersey.
I agree and I will email you the rest. But to be honest with you
If he or anyone reads it Im fine with it. I am old enough that I will tell him to his face what I disagree with. I cared about SSR but not to the point where I am going to not tell them what I think. They simply abuse their power. Dexter is the only person on there that I truly have respect for as a moderator. The can take that to the bank.

(laughs bitterly)
We tried to sign Lowry, but the Rockets matched our offer. We tried to sign Brad Miller, but Houston got him first. Apparently we tried to make a play for a guy named Marvin Williams who I don’t even know, but that failed too. During the summer league, Pooh Jeter led our team in assists, but it sounds like we’re not signing him.

I swear you are a true defenition of what a real fan is supposed to be like.
outside of the lakers I will always root for your team as long as it isnt against the Lakers. There three teams I root for now. Lakers, Knicks, and Cavs.

I feel dirty
It seems like I just eavesdropped on a private conversation. Good to see that people are making actual friendships from all this time invested in typing away in solitude.
P.S. Grad school should, but probably won’t, keep you from spending your time commenting on the Cavs and what not. Work to do or no work to do, the internet is just sitting there waiting on you.
Every pessimist thinks himself a realist. In the case of Cleveland sports fans, they are probably right.
I cannot afford to spend time on the Internet
If I’m going to get my master’s, I have to make the adjustment. But it’s going to mean giving up a tough habit.
I'm a diehard Cavs fan, proud to say I never owned a LeBron jersey.
Also, I should have mentioned your name
You seem relatively new, but you’re one of the more dedicated FTSers.
I'm a diehard Cavs fan, proud to say I never owned a LeBron jersey.
I have been reading FTS for a long while. I spent a lot of time lurking before I actually took the plunge and made an account. Especially because I didn’t need the extra obsession. Now that I’m in, I’m in with both feet.
When I was finishing my two Master’s degrees, I struggled with trying to stay focused. You can only spend so much time working…if you don’t have a distraction you will go crazy.
That said, too much distraction doesn’t help either. I spent the whole 2008 election commenting on the Huffington Post, and all the time since reading Cavs, Tribe, Crew, Buckeyes and English Premier League articles. As a result my dissertation hasn’t moved forward in two years. If they only gave away Ph.D.s for being current on sports topics…sigh
Every pessimist thinks himself a realist. In the case of Cleveland sports fans, they are probably right.
I would love it if the kosta koufos thing was true…he is a good player and a cool dude.
I teach good life choices. That’s why I almost didn’t graduate High School.
I remember a wolves fan writing a fanpost about this in the morning
We need a younger center. So badly. And it can’t be Hickson.
I'm a diehard Cavs fan, proud to say I never owned a LeBron jersey.
yeah…imagine if we could have a frontcourt of hickson and koufos in the future.
I teach good life choices. That’s why I almost didn’t graduate High School.
Are we re-signing Danny Green?
I mean, who knows what’s going to happen with D West. And we had better not get rid of Telfair.
I'm a diehard Cavs fan, proud to say I never owned a LeBron jersey.
Yeah you really cant get rid of Telfair.
If Delonte stays he isnt really a pg and neither is parker.
Even though GIbson is technically a pg he is more of a sg trapped in being a pg (just like Mo).
Mo has actually turned out to be a decent pg, but at this point his only real pg back up is Telfair.
Cavs need to get rid of West and probably Parker to get another pg and a center.
Kosta would be a nice pick-up, but he is not exactly a runner, and therefore doesn’t seem like he fits into Scott’s plan. That said, what 7 footer is a runner?
I hold out hope that we can get something of value for one or two of our guards and find a place for Pooh on the bench.
Every pessimist thinks himself a realist. In the case of Cleveland sports fans, they are probably right.
for a 7 footer, he has solid mobility and excellent quickness when facing up a defender.
I teach good life choices. That’s why I almost didn’t graduate High School.
I haven’t seen much of Kosta since he left OSU…I don’t think anyone has really. He got around alright for a 7-footer, but he still looked like he was in slow motion compared with some of the smaller guys. Look at LeWretch, he is 6-8 or so and can really run. Something about those last 4 inches slows guys up.
Every pessimist thinks himself a realist. In the case of Cleveland sports fans, they are probably right.
He got around alright for a 7-footer, but he still looked like he was in slow motion compared with some of the smaller guys
even Ewing and Robinson would look slow compared to most guards…its the nature of the position.
Look at LeWretch, he is 6-8 or so and can really run.
No one over 6’7’’ has ever been as quick as Lebron…Not even Magic. Lebron is just a freak of Nature. Most guys his speed are 6’4’’ or below; quick guards. There are players between 6’8’’ and 6’11’’ that are pretty fast, but they are rare.
I teach good life choices. That’s why I almost didn’t graduate High School.
I agree about pooh. I would like to see him on the bench and get rid of mo or delonte (or both)
I teach good life choices. That’s why I almost didn’t graduate High School.
I can see that…I have heard they want a lanky defender on the wing and a guard who can knock down 3s. Parker has a sweet 3, good D, and is 6’6’’….Exactly what they are looking for.
I teach good life choices. That’s why I almost didn’t graduate High School.
It might work out for the Lakers, and honestly as much as I don’t care for Kobe, I would much sooner see those guys win again than be forced to sit through LeNarcisus getting a ring.
Who would they give us though? They sure aren’t going to part with any of their core, and Shannon Brown is already a free agent.
The way you talk Parker up it makes me want to keep him, although almost all of last season I was hoping that the Cavs would upgrade.
Every pessimist thinks himself a realist. In the case of Cleveland sports fans, they are probably right.
What was the point...
…of only playing Hickson half the game on Saturday if he was going to sit all of Sunday anyway? Were they just trying to get time to evaluate the guys who hadn’t played enough yet? If so where was McCants? I thought he turned up late, citing personal reasons. If Hickson is going to sit, at least make McCants play all 40 minutes.
Every pessimist thinks himself a realist. In the case of Cleveland sports fans, they are probably right.
