There's no way, with hindsight, I would've ever called up Larry, called up Magic and said, 'Hey, look, let's get together and play on one team. But that's ... things are different. I can't say that's a bad thing. It's an opportunity these kids have today. In all honesty, I was trying to beat those guys.

That's why...

There will only ever be one Michael Jordan. He was such a competitor!

its a ridiculous comparison

jordan+bird+magic wouldv curb stomped bosh+lebron+wade. Jordan and larrys playing style complemented each other in ways unimaginable to lebronade.

That would have been unbelievable...

Jordan and Bird could have scored 80 a piece with Magic racking up 80 assists…. Crazy… I would have definitely paid to watch that one… It would be like the dream team with everyone in their prime!

Nice to hear Jordan weigh in on the matter…so, Lebron, is Jordan just one more ‘hater?’

There’s one commentary that’s not so easily dismissed as “jealousy.”

lmao

I live in Cincinnati. I'm a fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Cincinnati sports teams. Besides UC, I'm a Xavier fan for basketball. I also like the Ohio State Buckeyes for all sports.

My name is Tyler. So I guess now you know about me.

Jordan is Lebron’s #1 objective anti-fan. Seriously. He never had any vitrol towards Lebron, but never seems comfortable praising the guy. And just thinking about Magic, Bird, and Jordan on the same team just scares me. Scares me.

Heat fan here, and I love Wade…. But Larry Bird, Magic or Jordan he is not.

Boss isn’t even close to that good and quite honestly, neither is Wade.

Magic had “the Dream” and Worthy. Those guys were pretty awesome. Jordan had Pippen, Grant, Tony K and Rodman… Those guys were pretty awesome as well.

Magic, Jordan and Bird all played on teams with other HOF guys. So it’s a little weird when they speak on this issue.

There is/was NO ONE on the Cavs that comes even close to a Pippen, Dream or Parrish/McCale combo. Not even close.

Denver: 32-32 until we're not.

When is Olajuwon (the dream) a Laker?

pls get your fact straight first, Kareem’s nickname is Cap or Sky Hook
Also, I am not convinced that Pippen, Grant, or Tony K, or Rodman is better than Wade

Also, if you are on MJ, Magic, or Bird’s level, you should try hard to get other players to your team, not go around join other people’s team. Wade is already better than Bron just based on that.

by sangil on Jul 21, 2010 12:22 AM CDT up reply actions

I couldn't remember how to spell Kareem.

But Pippen is vastly better than anyone on the Cavs. So Jordan had much better sidekicks than Lebron, better coaches too.

Wade, nor LeBron are on the same level as Bird, Magic or Jordan. Wade isn’t even close.

Jordan or Magic saying they would not have played with Bird or the other has no meaning when discussing Wade and Bosh since Wade and Bosh are nowhere near that level. Frankly, neither is LeBron.

Denver: 32-32 until we're not.

You couldn’t remember how to spell Kareem so you called him “The Dream?” Are you serious?

Uh...

I’m sorry to interrupt but you’re still flip flopping.

Hakeem Olajuwon = The Dream

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar = The Captain

I know that, since you’re a Heat fan, you would like to defend your team. Fair enough. However, to say that Jordan had much better sidekicks than LeBron is overlooking the fact that Pippen and the rest of the role players did not come into their own until Jordan elevated their level of play. Pippen was known to choke and was regarded as “soft” when the Bulls were playing against the Bad Boy Pistons. However, they stayed together and they went over the hump together. In my opinion, the Cavs were very close to going over the hump but LeBron bailed.

Jordan and Magic saying they wouldn’t play with each other has meaning and purpose. They are merely stating that they were more competitive and they thought LeBron was more competitive until his recent decisions dictated otherwise.

LeFraud

Is the worst excuse for a human being in sports. Why does this asshole get any air time at all?

...But if he pulls the rug on his quarterback, Reid must do it knowing that he let McNabb down more than McNabb ever let him down.

I'm an objective...

outsider. I don’t have an NBA team in my town although I do follow the league. I think LeBron is going to regret going to Miami. He is going to fill unloved once he realizes that he is 2nd fiddle to that towns love for Wade. All of my friends from Miami have the attitude that this is Wade’s team and LeBron better get in line. Seriously, can you imagine MJ going to play with Charles Barkley and people declaring it Barkley’s team! And I don’t even think LeBron deserves points for humility or for being a team player because the only reason he went to Miami, besides to win a ring, is that he wanted to play with his buddies. Its immature and he has greatly lowered his ceiling in terms of history.
