ESPN Had To Agree To Certain Terms To Get LeBron Special
ESPN might have exclusive rights to the biggest sports story in years, but they paid a hefty price - or won't be able to charge a hefty price.
LeBron's crew had some restrictions for ESPN as part of their arraingement.
- First, ESPN does not know what the decision will be and won't know before hand. The location also has not been released, but something tells me it will be in Bristol, CT where ESPN is located.
- Secondly, ESPN is NOT allowed to sell advertising for the 1-hour Primetime event. Instead, LeBron's marketing company - LRMR I suppose - can sell sponsorships with all proceeds going to the Boys and Girls Club of America.

"I will be playing for Asvel Villeurbanne this season!"
lol! LeBron going to the Euro league!
Sriously though – I’m beginning to get the sneakin’ suspicion he’s going nowhere but Cleveland.

Good news for you guys
I think it’s real good news for you guys. Couldn’t fathom him putting together an infomercial to tell you he was leaving. It would just be cruel. I always felt that the more vocal the announcement, the greater chance he stays.
As a Bulls fan, I thought we had a chance early, but don’t think we do now. If we couldn’t get him, I was hoping he would stay because I do think the loyalty aspect and winning in your hometown is a better story. Just as long as New York doesn’t get him (I think I’d have to block ESPN).
Anyways, after his actions throughout the whole thing, you guys can have him.
From what’d being said now, Bosh will be joining Wade in Miami now.
I’m just wondering, after all the trades (Thomas, Salmons, Kirk), how do you feel about not landing any of the big three? I still think you guys have a promising future, and there’s still a lot that could happen. I’m just curious how Bulls fan about the their situation.
Just saw your Fan Shot...
After I posted mine…. :(

Tough to tell
I like Kirk a lot, but his play had declined a lot over the past couple years. So losing his contract isn’t a big deal. Tyrus wore out his welcome here and Salmons was pretty bad before being dealt to the Bucks. I guess it would have been nice to have his solid 2nd half and maybe seen if we could have gotten a higher seed and pushed a team like the Hawks.
But I’m happy that we have Derrick Rose. He’s 21 and I honestly feel in 2 years he’ll be better than Wade will be at 30. He has the potential to be a top 5 player in this league if things go right. And while everyone outside Chicago hates Noah, he’s a real fun guy to root for. We also have a good coach coming in.
So I’m sad we struck out on the big names, but I honestly didn’t think we had a shot at them 6 months ago. I’m a little concerned we will overpay for Boozer or Lee though. But I think if we can get Boozer at a fair price and use the rest of the money to bring in a Reddick, Mike Miller, or Morrow, we’ll be a solid team. We did win 41 games last year with a ton of injuries and turmoil. So I don’t think it’s too far fetched to think with a few additions that this team could win 50 or more.
