Chris Bosh Headed To Miami With D-Wade
Does this hurt Cleveland's chances at retaining LeBron? We'll find out tomorrow night.

Now that this has happened…im wondering If the Cavs will go after David Lee or Boozer! these are guys who know all about the importance of “team” and may be willing to play in Cleveland….also either of them would be cheaper than Bosh anyway. You would solve two birds with that…get a dominant mobile big man to add to the Cavs, as well as make the package all too attractive for Lebron to coax him to stay home! THIS IS THE CAVS FRONT OFFICE TIME TO SHOW UP!!!!
If by “show up” you mean find a way to not allow the salary cap to apply to them, then yes, I hope the Cavs front office “shows up” too.
You present a valid point. We probably won’t be able to match other teams offers to Lee or Boozer outside of a sign-and-trade, but I fairly certain the Knicks nor Utah have any interest in that.
I think the only thing left is try to pry Chris Paul from NO, but that seems virtually not possible at this point.
Hopefully. LeBron will be content with what we have for now, (possibly add Haywood), and try to recruit Chris Paul next off-season.
Boozer knows the importance of team and might be willing to play in Cleveland? Seriously? How quickly people forget.

Boozer fled Cleveland. He stinks for doing that the way he did. If he signs in Cleveland, I’ll be beyond shocked that Cleveland’s organization would welcome him back. Why reward terrible behavior.
If the Cavs do nothing more than resign LeBron, they will still be very good. They won’t be title favorites with teams like Orlando, Miami, Chicago and Boston holding as much or more fire power, but the gap between an Orlando or Miami (with Bosh) vs Cleveland is still close.
World Cup officiating reminds me of Bob Slowik's coaching. It’s embarrassing when people in the spot light get promoted well beyond their level of competence.
Yep, they’ll still be good, but apparently not good enough for the title. The key to remember is that there are more offseason’s than this one. I’m confident that the Cavs will win a title in the next 6 years if they get LeBron back.
And no, Boozer or Lee wouldn’t bring anything like what Bosh could have brought to the team. That being said, those guys would be welcome additions.
And yes, Boozer will be forgiven if he comes back and performs. If he sucks, he’ll still be hated.
Can we assume that LeBron will sign for the full 6 years? Maybe he signs for 3 years again and we go through LeBromegeddon again in 2013. Or does the uncertainty about the CBA and a potential walkout make such a possibility highly unlikely?

Or, more likely, lockout instead of walkout.

Windhorst said that he’ll probably sign for 6 years so he can get himself the most money under this CBA, although he could have an opt-out in his contract after 3 or 4 years to give him that option.

Isn’t this the same Chris Broussard who told us yesterday that Bosh was coming to Cleveland? Come on people, believe it when you see it. Believe nothing until 9 p.m. Thursday.

No. Broussard has always stood that Bosh doesn’t want to, and probably won’t play in Cleveland. He’s also the one who broke LeBron announcement at 9 PM Thursday story.
OK – I stand corrected. But I’m still in the “believe nothing unless it comes from the player’s mouth” camp.

i always said the cavs should try and get david lee. but i doubt new york would do a sign n trade with us considering they want lebron too.

If this is true..
and LeBron stays….how does Miami get all that much better with only Bosh? He is not a max type player from what I have seen. Better than the corspe of Jermaine O’Neil?…..Yes but, barring other moves, I doubt they will be better than Boston this year.
I'm Polish...what's your excuse?
Bosh is really good, but to be a championship contendor they do need to add other players around them. With those two players, and being in an attractive city to live in, they should be able to add a few more lower-level free agents to put around Wade and Bosh.

Concur
Wade singlehandedly won games for them last year. They need more than just Bosh to be championship caliber.

I third this. I was actually debating this very thing in another FTS thread.
I think they’ll need some steals (good role players for cheap) in order to come out of the East and even make it to the Finals, let alone beat L.A.
I can’t decide if this helps or hurts LeBron’s chances to stay in Cleveland. Could he go to NY now to try to match this Wade/Bosh team with Stoudemire? But then again, NY’s roster is crap outside of them. (David Lee’s pretty good, I guess?)
What are the chances we could possibly land Ray Allen?
Not good
since, he elbowed Andy in the nuts in 2009..

To add to my post, I can’t help but think that the Nets are still in the running, too. But another part of me can’t believe that LeBron, as much as he loves attention, would break the hearts of every Cleveland fan (especially the ones living in Akron) on national TV. That would just be cruel.
I can’t even watch ESPN today without these rumors flying around. I guess we’ll all know around 9:59 tomorrow. (I wish it would leak!)
Yeah Im with you ^ all of this speculation is really just HYPE! I guess thats what Lebron is used to…i will give him credit though….at the very least he now has a solid time slot set up to tell the world. So no more guessing when he will announce. I too believe that while the Heat are instantly better…it doesn’t really make them a contender for anything other than a playoff berth every year. I dont see them flexing with Orlando or even Boston (when healthy). The Cavs need to step up and forget the salary cap, and throw a whole heap load of money at Lebron (goes without saying), David Lee/Haywood/or Boozer (in that order), and to top it off add Chris Paul! But even without Paul, if we can just get a mobile big man the Cavs will continue to be dominant.
