Anderson Varejao Hurt While Playing For Brazil

Stay connected for news and updates

Word is filtering in that Cavaliers F/C Anderson Varejao hurt his ankle playing for Brazil against Spain.  We pick it up, via translation - he pivot of the Brazilian team and the Cleveland Cavaliers Anderson Varejao has been taken to hospital from Logrono to undergo medical tests after the injury he suffered in his right ankle during the game against Spain.

Varejao had to leave the match between Brazil and Spain in the fourth quarter, when the Spanish power forward Fran Vazquez has fallen on his ankle.

No other word has been released about the condition of Varejao's ankle so far, but news like this cannot be considered good for a Cavaliers team on the path to rebuilding.
