Good read, but call me cautiously optimistic. It’s hard for me to hang my hang on Mo, and I don’t know what to expect from Jamison. I agree though about the games being more entertaining. The one on five’s were frustratingly boring.
College basketball just became more interesting...

I like ‘tawn, but I’m not sure he can defend SFs.

Heres the line that bewilders me:
“Without Scott, I would predict that this team would win 35 games. But again, I honestly believe the coach is worth 10-15 more wins all by himself.”
what??? Im sorry, its a bit of a stretch to say even the greatest coaches of all time make a 15 win difference. Would the lakers win 15 less games without phil jackson? He also goes on to make comparisons about what the bulls did after losing jordan. But the bulls won championships. The cavs did not. I’d like to think the cavs are going to surprise everyone and win 50 games, but its not logical at all.
and think of it this way...
in a sense, the cav’s strategy for getting lebron was signing byron scott. If anyone (sane) thought byron scott could have that much impact (turning 35 wins into 50), theres no way lebron wouldv left.
oh and while im ranting....
theres also the implication in that statement that mike brown was worth 0 wins. That byron scott is somehow worth 10-15 more wins than mike brown. Utterly ridiculous.
