Mo Williams Contemplated Retirement After "Decision"
In a story by Marc Spears on YahooSports, Cavaliers PG Mo Williams was so affected by LeBron James' decision to head to Miami and play with the Heat that he actually considered walking away from the NBA.
"That’s how bad it got," Williams said. "I contemplated it. I really sat down and envisioned life after basketball. …I really saw myself not playing. It just didn’t make sense to me. …It doesn’t make sense to me."
Williams was truly affected by LeBron's defection and his comments, both then and now, show just how vested Williams was - in the Cavs and the community.
This Cavs fan has a new appreciation for Mo Williams.

Kinda sad… but this just makes me excited for the future. We’re not gonna be a great team, maybe not even a playoff team, but with that comes the excitement of the draft and what the future holds. We may not get another LBJ or KD player for decades, but there is going to be a player that has a chip on his shoulder or that’s looking to make a name for himself that will call Cleveland home one day and make us proud.
College basketball just became more interesting...

I definately feel bad for Mo
especially after I heard about him after the decision BS. It made LeBron even look worse considering he showed he didn’t give a damn about his teammates…. but yet Big Z goes to Miami, a Cleveland hero? And LeBron must care about teammates… b/c that’s why he’s going to Miami, according to DWade.
I’m confused by Lebron, and I feel bad for Cleveland and Mo Williams. I really hope fans show up for games, but I have a feeling that the Cavs will be seeing crowds around 5k or less. Sad, b/c this team can still make the playoffs as an 7th or 8th seed.
C'mon Mo Williams your bettah' than that!
Dude is sounding like one of your guy friends that just got dumped by his girlfriend and is acting like a complete sissy saying things like his life is over =/
Pick yourself up, dust off the cobwebs of being comfy in a relationship, and go make your girlfriend sad she ever left you by doing great things…

He loved LeBron a little too much.

Moe has since tweeted that this wasnt true, but even the re -tweet has me worried. (wont give up before the end of his contract ? how about before you actually accomplish something)
we may be screwed if we are relying on this guy for leadership
it may be time to move on to a Boobie/Ramon backcourt
Im the poor man's corey maggette!!!
That really wouldnt help at all..........
I would like to see this team play until around February or January before any real changes are made to the roster. The fact is Mo Williams is just a much better player than Gibson. Dont get me wrong, I love the guy, (not in the creepy way) but Mo/Ramon might actually be a fairly good combo.
If Februaury comes around and things look as poor as ever, then might be the time to think of trading Mo for some young prospects or for a ton of cash. Until then, I want to see how this team plays out.
