To LeBron James

Hey LeBron, please tell me what Ryan Hollins, Manny Harris, Alonzo Gee, Samardo Samuels, & Christian Eyenga did to deserve this so called "karma" you like to tweet about.

Please tell me why people who had nothing do with anyone's misfortune deserve to get "payback" when they weren't the ones who had anything to do with last years Cavaliers team.

Or is Byron Scott the one who deserves the "karma"?  A guy who hustled and played hard helping the Lakers team win 3 titles in 11 years does he deserve to be embarrassed by 55 points by the same organization he helped win championships with?

It’s clearly not about a hate of the Cavs player man. It’s clearly a shot at Dan Gilbert, unfortunately Bron’s hubris and poor pr skills make it seem likes its directed at the Cavs players, city, and fans. I’m almost 100% positive his “ambiguity” was directed at Gilbert

by robi s on Jan 12, 2011 1:33 AM CST reply actions

true though

that doesn’t change the fact that this was made after a Lakers game and had much more to do about what the Lakers did than what happened to anybody on the Cavs. Has anyone else beaten Harris, Samuels and those guys by over 50 points with starters in? Or would any other team even been the ones to attempt to do that. That is more the issue.

Once again, Cavs fans are reaching for something that isn't there.

LeBron’s tweet was directed at:

Dan Gilbert, for his lack of sensibility and tact when he fired off that ridiculous rant about LeBron and talked about how his team would win a ’ship before he would…

and YOU, the fans, with all of the burning of the jerseys, the threats about what would happen to him when he came back to Cleveland and all of the “LeQueen” and “Sidekick” taunts.

See, the things is Karma really CAN be a bitch. The Cavs fans and the owner were doing all of the talking after the “decision” and early on when the Heat were working out chemistry issues. Now that things have changed, suddenly it’s awfully quiet in Cleveland. And now it’s LeBron’s turn to talk a little.

Any crying now from Cleveland just sounds like the kid who can dish it out but can’t take it.

Just let it go, Cleveland. You can’t win this.

The guy was your whole world. He put the town on the map, he put money in the owner’s pockets and made the basketball team relevant. And instead of being grateful for your “moment in the sun” what did you do? Run your mouths.

Reap what you sow. If a team’s owner and it’s fans are going to bark, the last thing you’d want is for your team to prove to be completely heartless and become the worst team in the league and lose a game by 50 points.

And you didn’t think he’d take the opportunity to gloat a little?

Puh-leeze.

no

that is not the issue and you’re not in a position to tell others exactly what LeBron meant from his post. I’m not a Cavs fan nor do I have any involvement with Cleveland so you do not understand what was written.

Ryan Hollins, Manny Harris, Alonzo Gee, Samardo Samuels, & Christian Eyenga logged 127 minutes in this game and were a combined -154 on the floor.

When did LeBron play with any of those players? When have any of those players dominated the Lakers on their home court? When has Byron Scott been a teammate of LeBron? The answer is never to all 3 of those questions.

That is what this issue is about.

A fan of another organization whose team has never accomplished anything of any note and continues to let it's fan base down season after frustrating season is calling fans of the most celebrated organization in all of basketball "Classless"?

Oh.

My.

God.

We as Laker fans have NEVER heard that insult before!!

Well, you really told us, sir.

I laugh in your general direction, by the way.

Def. Iconic and everything

I don’t know about “most” celebrated. Kind of a stretch.

1 less win than the Celtic yet 10 more appearances.
Not saying your not up there, but IDK about MOST celebrated.
The 8-Straight titles by the Celtics is also an incredible landmark.

Not a slam at the Lake Show by any means, but in a historical fashion I would say they rank #2.

Hopefully my picture doesn't show my bias.

But I do feel for you guys. It looks like LeBron needs to just get over himself. He’s on a new team, let it go. What a drama queen.

My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.

by OCBlazerFan1 on Jan 12, 2011 10:42 AM CST reply actions

That's the things fans outside the situation don't understand.

Lebron does things like that, than we as a fan base end up being criticized because of any reaction we may have to a comment.

Hopefully my picture doesn't show my bias.

by C Byers on Jan 12, 2011 12:25 PM CST up reply actions

See, and the thing Cavs fans don't understand is that any sympathy or empathy other fans would have for them went away when....

Cavs fans took a psychotic and mean-spirited approach to things when they were shown on national television burning jerseys in the streets, their owner hanging LeBron in effigy through the media and fans actually making threats of physical harm against him when he “dared” show his face in Cleveland again.

You can’t be a symapthetic figure when you’re acting like a psycho, Cavaliers fan.

And if you’re not bright enough to understand that the tweet was directed solely at the OWNER and you, the FANS, and not at the players or the coaches on the team then you’re totally lost anyway.

Oh, we understand the situation Cleveland.

What we don’t understand is why you’re STILL playing the part of the jilted ex-girlfriend long left behind but unwilling and incapable of letting go of someone that doesn’t want you anymore.

"Remember kids......... petty and cheap shot-ish doesn't make you a true fan, it just makes you petty and cheap shot-ish."

all fans?

Did every Cav fan burn a jersey?

Not only am I not a Cav fan I’ve never done anything like that.
And I’m sure plenty of Cav fans have never done anything like that as well.

You are in no position to tell anybody who the quote was directed at. You can only look at the facts.

by star18 on Jan 12, 2011 3:32 PM CST up reply actions

You're right. Facts are facts.

The fact is Los Angeles television stations broadcast Cavaliers fans openly weeping like someone died and showed them burning LeBron James jerseys when “the decision” was made.

The fact is that ESPN and several internet media outlets showed the written statement that petulant, childish Cavs owner Dan Gilbert put out and broadcast the ridiculous statements he made after “the decision” announced.

The fact is that ESPN, ABC and several other media outlets had interviews (both audio and on camera) with Cavaliers fans making thinly veiled threats and promises of what would “happen to him” if he ever showed up in Cleveland both before the season began and in the build-up to the Heat game in Cleveland.

See, those are FACTS.

When you use the powers of deduction along with the facts at hand, you can come to the correct conclusion the LBJ was taking a very satisfied poke at the people who had attempted to tear him down earlier….. Dan Gilbert & the fans.

But at this point you’re just mumbling and talking about “facts” that have been explained to you over and over again.

It’s ok. We all get it. Desperate for attention and trying to keep interest in your posts no matter how inane and uniformed they may be.

"Remember kids......... petty and cheap shot-ish doesn't make you a true fan, it just makes you petty and cheap shot-ish."

by Themanthemyththelegend on Jan 12, 2011 6:56 PM CST up reply actions

ok post

that is understandable.

However when something bad happens to people as is the case that LeBron was referring to in the 112-57 loss it wasn’t only Dan Gilbert who lost the game as well.

Hollins, Harris, Gee, Samuels, & Eyenga got embarrassed as well and none of those players had anything to do with any of the LeBron, Gilbert crazy Cavs fans stuff. None of them.

So when you make a statement about how something bad happened to someone if you do not take the time to show respect for people that had nothing to do with it Hollins, Harris, Gee, Samuels, & Eyenga being most of those players you disrespect them.

LeBron James completely disrespected Ryan Hollins, Manny Harris, Alonzo Gee, Samardo Samuels & Christian Eyenga as he used their misfortune to settle a score between Gilbert and himself and the disloyal Cavs fans and himself.
LeBron only messaged about karma, bad things happening, and wishing bad to someone. The message in no way stated how innocent people can sometimes take the downfall for things like this and how that should not happen. And that is why it is disrespectful.

by star18 on Jan 12, 2011 7:28 PM CST up reply actions

Of course the news outlets are going to show

the burning jerseys and the threats. Wouldn’t be much of a story otherwise, right? To extrapolate a few sensationalized new bits into a list of “facts” about an entire fan base doesn’t make much sense. From reading your posts in this thread, I could assume that everyone from California is a pseudo-intellectual forum troll, but I understand that would be fallacy as well.

by OutEast on Jan 12, 2011 7:43 PM CST up reply actions

Ok man your ignorance is showing just a tad :)

Looking like a bit of a troll, picking on a down franchise but I’m not getting into that.

If Kobe left on national TV to another team would there be SOMEONE in LA burning his jersey. YOU KNOW THERE WOULD BE. I want you to honestly tell me that there would not be some dude from the inner city just like in Cleveland wouldn’t be going off?

I mean we play this “Jilted Ex-Girlfriend” as you say when it’s brought up repetitively. If something happens and media attentions then if we say ANYTHING. We’re than again called whinny.

And by bringing up the tweet, your saying Cleveland shouldn’t have feelings on it? As in if we even have an opinion on this we’re being a jilted gf?

Hopefully my picture doesn't show my bias.

Cleveland Fans Are Unlike Any Other

You don’t understand that, you never will. In the words of Eminem, “Don’t you ever try to judge us dude, you don’t know what the F*** we been through.”

Like it or not, Cleveland fans are more passionate than any other fan base, and no one cares what front runner, bandwagon fans think.

Outside perception doesn’t matter either, I love Dan Gilbert, I hate LeBron James. I don’t care if you think I’m a jilted ex-girlfriend or not. Also, I don’t understand why you’re over on this blog.

If

If bad things happend to Dan Gilbert last night then bad things also happened to Ryan Hollins, Manny Harris, Alonzo Gee, Samardo Samuels & Christian Eyenga last night.

As LeBron fails to mention those players while taking a jab at Gilbert he fails to show respect for people that had nothing to do with the situation.

So if he doesn’t mention Ryan Hollins, Manny Harris, Alonzo Gee, Samardo Samuels & Christian Eyenga don’t even talk about the game, becuase those are the guys who played the game last night. Those were the guys who got embarrassed. You don’t want to mention those players names then shut your mouth plain and simple.

Because Dan Gilbert did not play last night.
Ryan Hollins, Manny Harris, Alonzo Gee, Samardo Samuels & Christian Eyenga did.
Thank You.

They don’t know what Cleveland has gone through and they need to just shut it. The Cavs need to have a couple of years to rebuild and kick everyones butts, but in the mean time they will prolly loose games. But Im ok with that because im a dedicated fan. If your not one then why are you even on here then!!! So knock it off and get off of here now, thanks.
