Baron Davis To Make Cavaliers Debut Against Knicks
Following the deadline deal that brought Baron Davis to Cleveland in exchange for Mo Williams, Cavalier fans have been eagerly awaiting the two-time All Star's debut. It appears the wait is over. Head coach, Byron Scott, announced today that Baron Davis will likely play for the first time in wine and gold when the Cavaliers take on the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, this Friday night. Davis is averaging 12.8 points and 7 assists per game but also looks to bring valuable veteran leadership to one of the youngest teams in the league.
Semih Erden will have to wait a few more games before he makes his Cavs debut as Coach Scott says he is bothered by a shoulder injury and not yet in game shape. Fellow newcomer, Luke Harangody, made his first appearance against the Spurs on Wednesday night but left after only 8 minutes with a hip injury.
The Cavaliers travel to New York City to face Carmelo Anthony and the Knicks this Friday night at 7:30 PM ET. The Cavaliers beat the Knicks 115-109 in their last meeting on February 25th at Quicken Loans Arena.

growing up in the San Francisco bay area -- I've witnessed Baron Davis up close....
…. please, just turn off your TV’s. It’s all bad. This deal baffles me, the Cavs are like 5 years late in getting anything good out of Davis. It’s such a desperate move oh and Baron has no interest in being there.
He won’t play D, he will take terrible 3’s, he won’t make others better.
He may show you some nice plays, but Baron Davis is about to go on permanent cruise control. He has no interest in doing in Cleveland whatever the hell it is they’re trying to do.
I’m not talking sh__it, I’m just warning.
the deal was
Pretty much get a 1st round lottery pick. Barons probably not going to make the team better, but two top ten picks should.

yes but this draft is not that good -- the Clippers wouldn't give up their lottery pick in a good draft.
its not great
But was mo williams going to help us rebuild? We won’t get a superstar but two solid players to put with jj hickson will be very good towards rebuilding.

Fuck off back to your warriors board and don’t come back. He played well and he’s the reason why they made the playoffs.

Sure as hell didn't look "all bad" to me. Glad I left my TV on, as a matter of fact.
Hey, everybody here in CLE knows it wasn’t his first choice to come here. He was playing in his hometown every night, who wouldn’t want that. But there are those personalities that accept a challenge and find positives in the situations they’re put in. So far, he’s looking to me like he’s one of those.
Great debut tonight in the win over NY. The young guys are already looking to him for leadership, and he’s stepping up. Plus we got a first round pick.
All good.
there are guys who step up to challanges -- Baron is not one of them. He'll be checking out very soon.
Baron is more or less a very gifted player with little to no drive. No reason he’ll start now.
Who cares?
This season is lost. We get two top ten draft picks in there next year with Baron, J.J. and Antawn, and we’ll be back to a respectable team.
That’s why the deal was made.
If Baron has a good/decent team around him next year, I bet he’ll be driven
