Around SBN: What If This Is It For The Celtics? End Of An Era Looming

Not 5, not 6, not 7, not EVER

From a Blazer fan: Thanks for putting a number on the Heat.
All around Great game Cav’s fans.
14+ on rebounds
9 of 17 from 3
55.6% shooting
I love the way Miami came back from 23 down, and then you stomped on them. It's not very often i find myself saying "awesome 3-point shot", but I said it several times in this game. There were also some nice fast breaks to go with some good defense and offense.

We beat the Heat in Miami a while back for our 7th road win in a row, and I wrote a rap song after the victory. I never posted it at Blazersedge but thought you guys might appreciate the sentiment.

and it goes something like this….

Star-divide

Not 5, not 6, not 7, not EVA

I don’t like audacity or an arrogant decision
daddy thrice told me
you gotta learn to count
before you’re blessed with vision

This is my first rap song
If you don’t count the others
What? …you don’t like my math
then why you rollin’ a cart before the horse

I’m kinda bored with sports
think I’ll put on a movie
I like the Crying Game
they call it Blazers verses Heat

LeBron – Wade - Bosh
They can’t play at the height of superior echelon
At least they got altitude
If you count big egos

Daddy said – you gotta learn to count before you’re blessed with vision
Not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4
5 Blazers touched the ball
then Wallace scored

You can’t divide by Zero
and it’s not a multiple
The king got his head up %@#  $%& in the stars
when he shoulda had his feet on the earth

I can’t hear a word you’re sayin’
with those big black feathas in yo mouth
You need some help eatin' that crow
here.....let me stuff it in there fo ya

And who made you a prophet
keeper of the key
I been seeing a vision of my own
Not 5, not 6, not 7, not ANY

What it is, what it was
To quote philosopher Byron Scott
“We are going to win an NBA championship
before that traitor does”

I hope I dumbed this down
to an ESPN level
You can’t make the news no matter who you beat
if it ain’t got that L-B-J Cry Baby drivel

Not 5, not 6, not 7, is the skinny
multiple is a lot when you don’t have any
Not 4, not 5, not 6 total wins
7 on the road, Blazers FTW

Oh poor little baby LBJ, sniff, sniff
Want me kiss it fo ya – send me a text
But you best get ready for pain
I see the Cav’s comin’ up next

Can you hear the sound of poppin’
like an overstretched balloon
Or was that the sound of big-headedness
exploding the room

Free falling from space
doesn’t hurt too much
It kinda feels like flying
‘till you get jabbed in the butt

So as you make your fall
from heaven to earth
beware of sharp pointy objects
like future pinnacles of success

Not 5, not 6, not 7, is the word
a funky way to count – just ask MJ, Magic, Bird
So if you don’t mind movin’, your big arse over
I’m gonna start my trophy count - beginning with ONE

I’m a blazer fan thru and thru.

I don’t think I’ve watched more than a handful of games that weren’t blazer games. But when LBJ left Cleveland I watched a few of your games. Same with Denver and Carmelo leaving. I have to say, the few Cav’s games I saw were close games against stiff competition.

I would have never predicted your win loss record based on those games. They were tough fought games. Which leads me to believe you’ll be turning a corner sooner than later.
Good luck to you!

Romance me with that Roy rainbow shot which took flight from way beyond the arc and sailed so high that before it came back down to earth sealing the victory, it kissed the rafters and said "You're mine baby."

People and media don't realize..

How hard it is to rebuild a team, when your star announces after the draft he’s leaving.
While not having a single draft pick.

So it’s going to take a little time to get in situations we can actually acquire talent.

1st round draft wishes.
Bengals: Blaine Gabbert, Marcell Dareus or AJ Green!
Cavaliers: ANY PG AND SF DUO.

Yeah , it can be tough.

But hopefully the worst is behind you. Rebuilding has its own excitement. There can be some fun times as you watch the team grow and gel together. Even in our situation with Oden’s injuries… doesn’t take away the good times we had while we watched it unfold. And as you know, all that eventually ended it setbacks for us. But as fans we have to move on.
Thinking of your situation: I would hate on LeBron as much as possible when he shows up in town. But on a daily basis, I would try to move on past it.

Romance me with that Roy rainbow shot which took flight from way beyond the arc and sailed so high that before it came back down to earth sealing the victory, it kissed the rafters and said "You're mine baby."
