NBA Finals Set: Miami Heat vs. Dallas Mavericks

Stay connected for news and updates

Shield your eyes, Cavs fans, LeBron James and the Miami Heat are going to the NBA Finals. After finishing off Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls with a stunning Game 5 comeback, James is one step closer to his first ring. The Dallas Mavericks advanced to the Finals earlier this week by defeating Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder in 5 games. Game one of the series is scheduled for Tuesday, May 31st at 9 PM in Miami on ABC

I know most of us just want to focus on the Cavs' off-season and block out the playoffs. Unfortunately, Miami is bulldozing their way through the postseason and only Dallas stands in their way of an NBA title. I wish I could just ignore the Finals, but I simply love basketball too much.

This isn't going to be fun for any Cavs fans. Our hopes of denying LeBron his first championship rest on the strong shoulders of a 7-foot tall sharpshooter named Dirk Nowitzki. Better start brushing up on our German, huh?
