My Cavs evaluation so far

As a whole they look better than last year, but some same old problems & a few new ones. Parker is same not helping much & still getting beat on defence & below NBA avg for pts scored. Need to trade him before the deadline. I,d rather see Boobie @ #2 Starting. I know Eyanga is @ D league to develope but bring him back. At least he has speed to guard people & push the ball. Erden is not showing anything. He is not aggressie on the boards & cant even set a pick without moving. Hollings needs gone too. Like to know why Samuels isnt getting playing time. He is very aggressive on rebounds & will put up some offense. For those who i hear say trade Andy are crazy ! How many games you think you would win without all the things he does? We say last year when he was injuried. Jamison needs to be more consistant & help hit the boards more. Tristan is looking better every game & was a good pick for the Cavs. They need to cut down on the stupid turnovers. Think they need to go inside a little more to big men & that should help the outside game more. If you dont go inside enough, teams pick up on that & then shut your outside shooting down. And why isnt Scott telling Andy to take the shoots when no one is on him for those 12-15 footers. The more theats you have the harder its to guard. More ball movement all around guys ! Last, i think Scott is keeping second unit in a little to long. Maybe not all of them but a few players. Like to hear some others inputs on this stuff. GO CAVS !!!

I don’t know why Samuels isn’t getting minutes. I think he’s kind of in the doghouse right now and Scott wanted to see what he had in Erden. I think after a few more games, we’ll start to see Samuels more often, if not sooner.

The idea behind trading Varejao is that we WOULD lose a lot of games, but hopefully get some good assets in return. We’d get a better lottery pick to draft another impact player and get some young pieces in the trade. I know how valuable Andy is, but he’s even more valuable to a contending team.

Do you agree on evaluation of Parker? Think he shud be off bench & give 2nd unit another veteran. Not sure on Casspi yet. Also think Eyanga is @ D league to develope him to bring him back after trade deadline. He has lot of raw talent & think he can help them if can et some experience

I don’t think you can start a backcourt of Irving and Gibson. It’s far too small. Parker gives them some size and can kind of defend still.

If Eyanga comes back it should be until after the deadline, also like to see Manny Harris so more after he heals.

Also why do people do @ instead of “at”? It’s not faster, you still have to press 2 keys. Sorry

I'd love to see Gibson starting.

But like what was said, it would put no size in the backcourt. I really like what manny harris does, and i would love to see him back. As far as Caspi goes, i say keep him in the game. He’s a skilled player who can nail the corner 3

Hey man – this was a nice read. Try to work on making it less messy next time though. Looks like we’re all in agreement a couple guys should get to average 30-32 minutes!

Eyenga should not be back. He has shown nothing in Canton that makes me believe that he is working on his game. He seems disinterested most of the time and lost the rest. He should be tearing up the d-league but he is not and that does not bode well for a return to the big guys.

I think Andy could bring back quite a few draft picks and young players to the right team. He is that energy and rebounding force that can seperate a team from being just a fringe playoff team to a serious force in a series. Not to mention he still has quite a few good years ahead of him.

If I were the Cavs I wouldnt be opposed to keeping Andy, but if someone blew the door down with an offer you take it. Him, Jamison, Parker could be moved so we can go younger and acquire more draft picks/young potential talent.
