Report: Kyrie Irving to Miss Four Weeks with Fractured Left Index Finger

Kyle Terada-US PRESSWIRE

Remember when Kyrie hurt his hand against the Mavericks? Well apparently he fractured his finger. So that's just great.

Kyrie Irving suffered a non-displaced fracture in his left index finger, the team announced.

He is currently projected to be Out for the next four weeks while the fracture heals, and is scheduled to be re-evaluated in two weeks. His status will be updated as appropriate at that point.

He left Saturday's game against the Mavericks after hitting it on Darren Collison's leg, but was able to return. Initial x-rays were negative. Last year, when Anderson Varejao hurt his wrist against the Bucks, his initial x-rays were also negative.

MAYBE THE CAVALIERS NEED TO INVEST IN A NEW GODDAMN X-RAY MACHINE THEY STOP GIVING US FALSE HOPE OKAY!?!?!?!

Kyrie will apparently miss four weeks and I will now go drink everything okay cool.

Cavaliers Forward/Center Tristan Thompson experienced a nasal contusion during the second quarter of the game in Philadelphia last night. An x-ray at the Cleveland Clinic today revealed a nasal fracture. He will have a protective mask fitted and is projected to be ready to play in Wednesday’s game at The Q also vs. the Sixers.

Oh, and Tristan Thompson apparently suffered a facial fracture and will have to wear a mask next game. So for those of you keeping track at home, that's now two Cavaliers front court players wearing masks. It's about to get real freaky naughty up in here -- also: impossibly terrible to watch this team play basketball.
