The Cleveland Cavaliers are now 2-3. Winning 75 games this season is starting to look like a long shot. The Cavs were shorthanded on Wednesday night and they paid for it with a 106-96 loss to the Golden State Warriors.

Anderson Varejao was a late scratch due to right knee soreness and Tyler Zeller is still out with a concussion and fractured cheekbone. Right away, the Cavs were at a disadvantage. Carl Landry, David Lee, and Andrew Bogut all dominated the Cavs backup bigs tonight. Landry had 19 points on 8 of 10 shooting with 9 rebounds and David Lee had 22 points on 10 of 16 shooting with 14 rebounds. Jon Leuer was atrocious on the defensive end.

Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson got off to a hot shooting start and the Warriors dropped 37 in the opening quarter. The Cavs fought back to take the lead but it was short-lived.

Dion Waiters had a rough night after his career-high 28 points against the Clippers. He scored just 12 points on 5 of 15 shooting. He did, however, have five assists and zero turnovers.

Kyrie Irving was once again ridiculous. He scored 28 points, had 7 assists, and 6 rebounds. Oh yeah, and he had the flu.

Hopefully the Cavs will get Varejao and/or Zeller back for Friday night's game when they travel to Phoenix to play the Suns.
