Regular Season Game #26: Philadelphia 76ers at Cleveland Cavaliers
Philadelphia 76ers at Cleveland Cavaliers, Feb 11, 2012 6:30 PM CST
Kyrie Irving is OUT with a concussion, but is seemingly symptom free. He should be back relatively soon. Anderson Varejao has a displaced wrist fracture. There is no timetable for his return, but he's out for a long time, it seems.

I like that the team is proceeding cautiously with this concussion. Make sure he’s absolutely perfect before he returns because it isn’t worth risking his health for this season, and besides, the extra rest might be good for him

I agree. Reports make it sound like he’s good to go now.

jamison playing with some fire tonight actually. his defensive rotations have been good so far too. i am so afraid of another massive losing streak sans andy though.

Honestly Antawn doing well could be awesome, if we can dump him and tank real bad we can do some nifty stuff in the draft
Yes, seriously. I would do really immoral things to get Barnes or Gilchrist.

It could be a blessing…we need to get a good draft pick.

It won’t be a blessing if Varejao gets injured 20 games into every season.
If Manu’s broken hand/surgery kept him out 5 weeks, is it reasonable to think a minor(?) fracture will keep Varejao out 3-4 weeks?

i will say, however, that the defensive intensity seems to be there tonight even missing a few guys. big difference from last year is that i havent really seen this team ‘give up’ once

Casspi has been doing better lately, though it’s a bit hard to be worse than he was to begin the season
he’s looking more like the player he was rookie year recently. definitely attacking the basket more. wish he could get that stroke going though
by FrenchToast979 on Feb 11, 2012 6:59 PM CST up reply actions
he has also done decent so far on defense

TT could really do with a little learning how to play offense. I don’t think Jamison is the right teacher for him
(When he doesnt force it) Thompson seems to have a decent array of moves, and the wingspan to get his shot up over the defender. He seems to kind of short arm the ball though whenever he goes to that little hook or whatever
by FrenchToast979 on Feb 11, 2012 7:04 PM CST up reply actions
True, but like that last one for example, he had a nice one-dribble move and then just kinda clunked it off the rim. i guess he just needs to develop a little touch, and im hoping that something that can be developed.
by FrenchToast979 on Feb 11, 2012 7:05 PM CST up reply actions
Apparently he’s really worried about his parents in Congo and calls them every two hours or so to make sure they’re ok. The organization should think about trying to get them over here, if he learns how to play he’ll be awesome.
if they would want to live in america, gilbert should hook them up
