LeBron James Is A Confused Human Being

So, I'm sure you've heard by now that LeBron James has entertained the idea of coming back to Cleveland. We know that he is at least coming back for the game tomorrow night between his Heat and our Cavaliers, but he has hinted at coming back to actually play for the Cavs.

Personally, I don't know how to react. I do not like LeBron James. I think he's a jerk-off. That being said, he's the best basketball player on the planet and I would really like to win a world championship. In the media scrum on the day before he plays in Quicken Loans Arena, this time as a member of the visiting team, he had some interesting things to say about his past and potential future with the Cavaliers.

The Plain Dealer asked LeBron about possibly returning to the Cavaliers someday, to which he responded:

"I think it'd be great...It would be fun to play in front of these fans again."

Star-divide

My response to that is basically:

Cool_story_bro_medium

Do we really think he'd ever come back here? Haven't we learned that 90% of what comes out of his mouth is total bullshit?

He then went on to say:

"And if I decide to come back, hopefully the fans will accept me."

Well, I wouldn't count on it. The sense I get is that most people are still really pissed off at LeBron and would much prefer if he just shut his mouth and stopped talking about Cleveland. Sure, if he comes back in a couple of years, maybe more people will be over it and just want to win. But why the hell are you talking about it now? I'll tell you why. It's because he knows that he has to play in front of these people tomorrow night. He's trying to be sneaky but it's his way of saying, "Hey, don't boo me too much or else you might make me not want to come back there at the end of my career."

I know this much: he's going to get booed. It's going to be loud.

Now, I'm not all that surprised by these comments from LeBron because I'm pretty much used to him mouthing off and saying stuff just for the sake of talking. Remember when he blatantly flirted with the New York Knicks while he was playing for the Cavs? Yeah, that ended up coming true. Remember when he said he was going to bring an NBA championship to Cleveland and that he wouldn't stop until he got it? Hmmm, still waiting for that one too.

The fact of the matter is that LeBron James is an attention whore. There is basically no reason for him to say anything regarding coming back to Cleveland. The best way to answer questions about it? "I'm a member of the Miami Heat and I'm happy here. I'm not going to discuss future hypothetical situations." Fin. That's all you have to say. It's over. But that is not how LeBron James works. He has to go one step further.

He creates these stupid rumors because he likes the attention. Is it possible that he actually wants to come back to Cleveland? Yeah, sure. Does that mean it will happen? Errr...no, probably not.

When you look at the entire situation, you can assume the following conclusions: LeBron really wants to come back and play for the Cavs or LeBron is just screwing with people because he likes to run his mouth and be the center of attention.

Or....

LeBron James has no fucking clue what he's doing. And that's how it's always been.

(Hint: I'm going with the last option.)

So basically...

It wasn’t a happily ever after after D Wade picked up Lebron on the white horse and they went down to Miami thinking the Leauge would just give them the next 8 championships without even playing any games. Sorry Lebron, but that is not how the world works, to achieve something worth having u have to work for it, and just because u didn’t win a championship after 1 yr in Miami doesn’t mean u should just b*tch, complain, and be a attention whore. It means u shut up and let ur work do the talking for u. I hope we boo his ass off tomorrow night and in a couple years win a championship with a team that worked for it. GO CAVS!

What must the Heat be thinking?

You didn’t win us a championship last year.
You’ve got 2 guaranteed years left here.
You are already talking about going back home.

How about “I want to be a Miami Heat for life”? Say that until you aren’t with the team anymore.

As for returning to Cleveland, he’d be in his year 30 season as a free agent taking up a lot of the salary cap. Yes, he is a great player but I would hope that the team would have better used their resources both in drafts picks and in cap room that acquiring the downtrending years of Lebron James’ career wouldn’t be ideal for him.

From a PR standpoint, they should close the books on his era and hope that one of the players they acquire over these next few years wipes him off the top of the team record list.

Thanks for the memories, Lebron however you’ve cemented your legacy in Cleveland. No ‘do over’ to soften the harsh image of it.

If the Cavs can’t win in 5 years without Lebron James, shame on them.

CLEVELAND WILL NEVER ACCEPT YOU BACK! YOU’RE DEAD TO THEM! YOU’RE MORE DEAD TO THEM THAN YOUR DEAD MOTHER! I JUST THANK THE LORD SHE DIDN’T GROW UP TO SEE HER CHILD BECOME A MERMAID!

Or is it merman?

What are the CBA rules on how long you can trade someone after you sign them? I’d love to sign him, then trade him before the ink on the contract dries.

See, it’s all part of the plan. LeBron had to leave Cleveland so that they would be able to get some lottery picks to put around him when he came back!

Haha, imagine if he and Dan Gilbert had an elaborate scheme…

Honestly, I hope he keeps this stuff up for the next couple years. Let the Miami “fans” experience what we experienced. “Is he gonna stay? Is he gonna leave?”

I wouldn’t want my ex-wife back when I am happily married (to Irving lol).

My favorite basketball player of all-time wants to come back? Of course I want him back. You are all fooling yourselves if you’re saying you don’t want him back. He made a one hour mistake. Get over it.

He WAS my favorite player of all time. I don’t know how I feel right now, but I’m pretty sure if the time comes and we don’t have a banner, then I’ll want him back. I just want to win.

I was at the Miami vs Cavs game last week.

You couldn’t even tell the game meant something extra to anyone. Not LeBron, not the Cavs, not the Heat players or Heat fans. It was just one of 66 games before the playoffs. The Cavs fans at the game seemed more interested in cheering for Casspi and Irving than anything else. There was no audible booing of LeBron, even when he was at the free throw line and the crowd was quiet. It was another otherwise rockin game because of the highlight dunks, Wade and LeBron both had big nights and Miami won.

The whole LeBron thing means more to Cleveland fans and Dan Gilbert than anyone else. The players didn’t seem to care at all, nor the coaches.

Watching that game, the Cavs are woefully short on athleticism. Irving has a bright future (what a great trade), Casspi sucks, Harangody is even worse, Varejao has hit his ceiling as a player and it’s not high, Gee has a fantastic first step and spin move, Jamison still has some gas left in the tank.

If Thompson doesn’t develop, you guys will have to have a monster draft in 2012 to get back into playoff contention.

Tim Tebow is Denver's 2012 starting QB. I'm not even kind of sorry that offends some of you (including you Elway).
