Wait, some people voted to keep me? Mandatory Credit: David Richard-US PRESSWIRE
On Friday, I asked Cavaliers fans a simple question; should the Cavaliers try to convince Antawn Jamison to come back for the veteran's minimum, or should we let him walk? I was expecting a fairly one-sided conversation. That's not exactly what happened. We need to talk.
Sixty-eight Fear the Sword readers voted in favor of the Cavaliers keeping Antawn Jamison. Sixty-eight of you voted for the Cavaliers to bring back Mr. Veteran Leadership himself. You voted to bring back a man who hasn't played defense in years, a man who has seemingly forgotten that you can do something else with the ball other than immediately fire up a garbage jump shot the moment it hits your hands. And, most importantly in my opinion, you've voted to bring back a man who is currently soaking up all the minutes at the PF spot that should be going to Tristan Thompson. I repeatedly asked in the comments for some explanation why, yet didn't get a single word in response.
Today, I re-iterate that same request. Why? That's all I ask. Tell me why over 20% of you think Antawn Jamison has a place on this Cavs team going forward. Please, it's a simple request. I sat through and live-blogged that abysmal Cavs-Pistons game for you a few weeks ago, this is all I ask in exchange. Please tell me what the hell you're thinking, because you've blown my mind.
I can wait all day. Explain yourselves.
