I know that's unlikely but if the Cavs get the number 1 pick then we have to add Anthony Davis into the equation. This could pose a problem for the Cavs. Everyone says Davis is great at defense but lacks offense. The Cavs need offense at this point. But how could you pass on Anthony Davis. He has so much potential to just dominate the game in the future.
If we pick 2-6 then we have more options. Whether it's MKG , Bradley Beal, Austin Rivers or Harrison Barnes. At 2-6 we should be able to get 1 of these players. If we select first and pic Davis at 1 will will their be enough offensive power at 24? Wroten/Fournier at 24 and Davis at 1.
It's a scenario we will probably not have to worry about but you never know. Little Nick Gilbert might work his magic again and we end up with the first pic in the draft. I'm sure Scott and Grant have prepared for this scenario even if it's a slight one.
I guess you could look at it as similar to MKG pick. MKG isn't seen as the offensive threat as Beal or Barnes and Cavs might take him at 2 or 3 if that's where the lottery puts them.
