I personally think Dion Waiters will be great in Cleveland, as well as Tyler Zeller. They both are young and full of excitement. If fans really criticize Waiters because he did not come off the bench in college then how did he slide in the top 10 in the draft? His draft stock must have raised. Now moving on the Zeller, I was kind of shocked that Dallas gave up Zeller because they have no scoring Center that can back up Dirk Nowitzki. But niether does Cleveland to back up Anderson Varejao so what a great trade that the Cavaliers made. Now that Anthony Parker is retiring, Waiters can get his first taste as an starter and possibly if Varejao is unhealthy then Zeller will be that man at the Center. Though, he would have to fight Semih Erden for it.
My grade to the give to Cleveland:B-
I know fans criticize Dion Waiters but what are the odds? Cleveland really wanted Michael Kidd-Gilchrist who was stolen by the Charlotte Bobcats. Who else would they have chose? Honestly, I wanted them to take Thomas Robinson or Harrison Barnes to back up Antawn Jamison and Varejao. But Cleveland did what they had to do, and Waiters has proven to be ready for this league and show Cleveland fans they are wrong for doubting him. Zeller is also rocked and ready to roll with Cleveland. Zeller to me is going to be a future star but I'm kind of saying that way too early.
