Are any Cavs fans on their computers and/or phones, anticipating on what can happen in the next couple of weeks? I am…and excited as hell on how far we have come and how far we can go. Gilbert, Grant, and Scott have been putting a well oiled machine together, even if the picks aren’t the sexy ones! Out of our last four draft picks, Kyrie is the only sexy pick and the other three are the girl next door who don’t know they are sexy yet. This free agent could propel us into a mid-playoff spot. The Cavs are only a couple of pieces away from being a legit force in the East.

If the Cavs are following the model of OKC, how far away are they?
Centers: Zeller may be comparable to Collison (who played a very nice role in the finals). Cavs still need a hard nose center like Perkins.
Power Forward: Thompson may develop into a poor man’s Ibaka. Varejao is a special player which OKC has nothing like him, so bonus!
Small Forward: Yikes, Cavs have no one to compare to KD. Gee definitely compares to Sefolosha.
Shooting Guard: Waiters may be the Cavs Harden.
Point Guard: Irving very well could be on Westbrook’s level. Gibson could give as much as Fisher did in the Finals.
The comparisons of the Cavs and OKC are based on the minutes played in Game 1 of the 2012 Finals, were the Thunder beat the hated Heat. The positions may not match up completely, yet it shows we may only be two players away from going deep in the playoffs. Being short of a Durant is a huge spot to fill, but even with that hole the Cavs have they still can be in the mid-playoff seeding. Finding a hard nose Center may be easier to find then some people think. Maybe having Varejao being the special player he is, can cover the hard-nosed center void.
The question is again, How far away are the Cavs?
