The NBA has already announced the starters for the 2013 All Star Game. Every year, the starters are chosen by a fan vote. That announcement is never a very big deal because the voting numbers are pretty public -- we typically know all the starters before the voting is finalized. However, the coaches vote on the reserves for the ASG and there's a bit more mystery surrounding those selections.
The reserves for the 2013 NBA All Star game will be announced tonight (Thursday) at 7:00 PM Eastern on TNT, before the Celtics vs. Knicks game tips off at 8:00 PM Eastern.
Make sure to tune in to TNT at 7 PM to see if Kyrie Irving is selected to the team. Or just check Fear the Sword and we'll be sure to let you know.
If Kyrie Irving is selected to the team, he will be the first Cleveland Cavalier to make the team since LeBron James in 2010. So there's that.
