Hey y'all! I checked in here over the summer to say "what's up" and pose a friendly debate about our young, talented PGs. I'm a huge Kyrie fan and would love to see these guys eventually face off in a Finals series.
I got pretty well roasted here for even asking, which was slightly overblown but a little fair. Kyrie had just come off an elite performance at USA basketball and the Cavs were supposed to be a guaranteed playoff squad in the Leastern conference. Dame had a so-so showing at USA basketball and the Blazers were supposed to be a few pieces away from a low playoff seed.
Gosh, how the tables have turned! Robin Lopez turned out to be just what we needed and our 3 point shooting has been insane. Damian has been a big part of that. I see to remember some people pointing out Kyrie's "all-world" 3 point shooting and I honestly felt that was pretty accurate. What has happened to his stroke at the start of the season? Is it a problem with your team, floor spacing or something else?
Anyway... I'm not coming here to gloat. I'm a genuine Cavs fan and I would love to see them put it together. There have been some questionable draft choices (as a Blazers fan, I know all too well how front-office decision making can sink a team) but I'm wondering what y'all think has gotten the Cavs off to a rough start. Also, is Kyrie slumping or just rounding out to average after an insane start to his career?
I'm trying to keep this fair.. I know Dame gets to play next to an All-Star every night in LaMarcus Aldridge (who could even be considered All-NBA to start the season) and probably has the better team top to bottom.
