Hou gets: Okafor and 2 1sts.
The Suns are 19th in the league defensively and 6th offensively. With their wing players initiating offense they can eat Asik's less than stellar offensive pedigree and jump to being perhaps a top 10 defensive team. They could give teams like the Spurs fits with Asik making Duncan work for everything and Bledsoe exhausting Parker.
For Houston while they don't get a current player back they do get plenty of time, and they have been known to play the waiting game. Okafor could be flipped again at the deadline along with the picks to land a player that helps them now, or he could come back from injury and help them late in the season, or he expires and they use their two new picks to upgrade the team.
Portland's record looks great, but they have warts, with a capital W. They also struggle defensively and few teams not in the top 10 consider themselves contenders, and Portland isn't even in the top 20! Asik is a cure and they can do so simply in terms of salary.
The Lopez for Asik swap would obviously have to include some assets but they have several young players, Meyers Leonard/Alan Crabbe for example, that could be dangled and along with a future pick.
