The Cleveland Cavaliers had their 3-game win streak snapped when the Denver Nuggets came to town and ran them out of the gym.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are no longer streaking. The Denver Nuggets came to the Quicken Loans Arena and quickly put an end to the Cavs' mini-win streak. Meanwhile, Denver extended their streak to 9-straight wins with a 111-103 victory over the Cavs.
Transition defense and rebounding were absolutely pathetic for the Cavaliers tonight. They will not beat good teams (especially on the second night of back to backs) if they can't defend in transition or limit offensive rebounds.
Kyrie Irving was in foul trouble for much of the night but managed to finish with 26 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds. Alonzo Gee was inexplicably awesome, scoring 20 points on 8 of 8 shooting. Marreese Speights, like the Cavs' defense, was a dumpster fire. He shot 1 of 10 from the field and had just 3 rebounds.
As a team, the Cavs allowed 15 offensive rebounds. And they let the Nuggets shoot 50% from the field. That's bad.
Double Roll Call
We had so many freaking commenters tonight that we had to split it into two separate game threads. I love you guys.
